Clone of Flojet VSR Water Pump!
After rf rather expensinve ($215.00) Flojet VSR RV water pump started leaking after only about 48 months use, we looked for a repacement. Apparently they no longer make the VSR but we stumbled on what looked to be an identical unit for under $60. NO, it is not an "on-demand style pump, but what is called an intermittment pump. Turn on yur water adn you hear the pump kick into action...not very loud until you flush the toilet. Rather common in RVs. When we received it, you could not tell the difference between the VSR ahd this one. Absolutely identical! All the fittings were identical as well. We simply pulled the O-rings tubes out of the old VSR and the ones that came with the unit and DONE. The only downside was a leak at one of the elbow fittings but a new O-ring and Teflon tape under it for good measure and BONE DRY! We have used it for two weeks now and no issues, runs perfectly and we are even thinking of buying a second one for future use. With the lid down to the seating area under which it is installed and we don't even hear it turn on. I would guess this is the same company that makes it for Flojet but under a different lable. Very hefty unit, looks well made and easy install.
