Shoots for the moon, and hits it dead center.
I'm not much of a coffee drinker, I prefer my caffeine fruit-flavored and carbonated. I'm not big on artificial flavors or HFCS either. So when I saw Moonshot it was immediately intriguing. Previously my beverage of choice was Amp or Mountain Dew, because they're flavored with orange juice (it's true, check the label!). Moonshot beats them hands down.I first purchased their variety pack, 2 each of 6 flavors. Not everything was my cup of tea, but I was impressed by how bright and flavorful they all were, even the Lite Pomegranate. Stevia is better than aspartame or Nutraweet, but I'm afraid I'm addicted to good old sugarcaine. The Lite Pomegranate was okay, but didn't really hit the spot for me. I gave the 2nd can to a co-worker, who thought it was "too sweet". Oh, well. Honey Peach and Coconut Pineapple were both quite good but not my personal preference. Peach is a flavor I really have to be in the mood for, and while there was nothing wrong with Coconut Pineapple, it just didn't grab me the way some of the other flavors did.The Sour Apple really surprised me. If sour is your thing then this is the flavor for you, they balanced the sour against the sweet just perfectly. Nice to get that strong of a sour flavor without your tongue getting beaten up like it does with sour candy. The Tart Cherry is great! Although I do have to confess I didn't like it at first. The first can I tried while I was eating something that kind of masked the flavor, and I was really disappointed. I'm a big fan of cherry and it seemed like the flavor was almost non-existent. The second can was much better. The flavor really comes through in the after taste, so it's better to sip this one. Which I have to constantly remind myself, as I have a tendency to guzzle it if I'm not paying attention. Slower drinking is rewarded with greater flavor.Ah, but my favorite is the Orange Grapefruit. I'm a citrus guy; orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit are all right in my wheelhouse. I don't drink orange juice so much as I inhale it. And while I like grapefruit sodas like Squirt, I've never been able to enjoy grapefruit or grapefruit juice the way I do other citrus. Moonshot has done the miraculous (to me), their Orange Grapefruit is perfectly balanced so I get a strong grapefruit flavor without the bitter aftertaste. I drank the first can in amazement, then the second warily in case it was a fluke (it wasn't). When I finished the variety case I ordered a case of the Orange Grapefruit, and enjoyed every can.Moonshot is an energy drink, and it doesn't disappoint there, either. It wakes me up without making me feel jittery like I get from other energy drinks sometimes. I kind of wish the cans were bigger, but that's just because I'm greedy. It's actually nice that it's a 1 serving can and not 2. And maybe the 12 ounce size is why I don't get the jitters, so there's that. My biggest complaint is it's not available locally, but that's my fault for not living in Austin, I guess. And I can get them from Amazon (obviously) so even that isn't that big a deal. All in all, a really good product. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Great Taste and Reasonable Cost
Ok I am a Energy Junkie it's become a habit of mines so I am always searching for the next good energy drink and let me tell you these Moonshot drinks are great now me I tend to drink 4 or more energy drinks a day (unhealthy I know)so i wasn't looking for too much of a boost Because at this point I believe besides RedLine there isn't a canned energy drink that can give me the boost I need due to my high tolerance but I was looking for great flavor and reasonable cost I ordered the Coconut/Pineapple because I'm a sucker for anything Coconut and it was perfect the flavor the texture the everything I killed that case in a week I also ordered the Tart Cherry per a review on Amazon at the same time and they were good as well I will be buying these monthly like I was doing with Red Bull(Coconut Berry/Beach Breeze) and Monster(Mango Loco)I drink at least a case a month so these come in handy due to the reasonable price I can order multiple cases for what it would cost me for the other brands I named I'm not talking these drinks up but they are great tasting if your in the market for something new and you're tired of Monster Amp Rockstar NOS Red Bull etc then these are just right for you.

Again though the energy drinks are good. I like them a lot and the honey ...
Let me start by saying that the drinks are delicious. However the issue I have is packaging quality. To be clear this is not the Amazon packaging as that box was in pristine condition. Rather, upon opening that box it was apparent that the cans had been dropped. The plastic holding the flat together was stretched and scarred and the cans were scratched up and one was sticky. The scratched covering if the can leaves black residue on my hand.Again though the energy drinks are good. I like them a lot and the honey peach is so darn tasty and refreshing!

Fantastic Tastes But...
When they claim that this is the best-tasting energy drink ever, they're not lying. Sure, that sounds like hype, but here's my resume. I've drank and/or survived: Arizona Health Tonic, Monster original, Monster Lo-cal, Rock Star, Monster Mean Bean, Monster Absolute Zero, Monster Kona Blend, Enerbee, Enerbee Hibiscus, NOS Citrus, NOS Cherry, Death Wish Coffee (regular and Valhalla Java), Give Energy Mojito Grapefruit (R.I.P), Bing, so you get the picture. Some of these taste like warmed-over battery acid. Some of them taste acceptable, and some taste pretty good (the Monster coffee varieties). Moonshot puts them all to shame. In order of deliciousness (low to high), we have the Pomegranate Light, which has a bit of that leafy/stevia tang to it. After that is the Sour Apple, which tastes great (and I am a sour connoisseur as well), but the acid is a touch too much for me. Next is the Pineapple/Coconut, which although tasty, just felt too laid back. I am a fan of pina coladas, so that might be biasing my experience. After that, comes the Sour Cherry, which is fantastic. If you've ever had fresh sour cherries off the tree - this tastes stunningly similar. Next was the peach/honey which again, tastes exactly like fresh peaches, picked at the peak of ripeness. I've had fresh peaches - no comments - and this is the real deal. The most delicious I felt was the Orange/Grapefruit - just enough grapefruit to provide a fizzy zing and not so much that it tastes acidic. If you've had sweeter grapefruit varieties, these are what were used here. However, the taste is not the whole experience. The first thing is the energy blend. It just barely gets me to two o'clock and it vanishes fairly quickly after that with a noticeable crash. The culprit? The sugars, I'm sure. The next thing is the cans. They are comprised of a thin aluminum and as a result, don't stay as cold as you're used to. I've solved this by pouring one into a thermos or by keeping it in the company fridge and walking back and forth to it. Not a big deal, just something I've noticed.I would like to see Moonshot take on some of the bigger companies like NOS and Monster with a formula that delivers sustained energy. They have a great product now - it's just not completely there yet. So, if you don't need tons of energy, you want something that tastes good, and you're in the market for a bargain ($2.00/can is nice), this is your drink.
