Probably some of the best shampoo bars out there. They leave your hair silky smooth.Since I first bought their product they have changed their packaging shrink wrapping each bar instead of the paper wrappers. I’m really sad to have to move on to another brand.

I've always been skeptical of, and intrigued by, shampoo bars. I assumed that they would not lather well at all, that they would crumble into pieces with the first use, and that they'd last no more than maybe four or five washes. I can't speak for other shampoo bars, but the Mini Meditation shampoo bars far exceeded my expectations, clearly, from the moment I received the product. When they arrived, I immediately opened the box and could smell the product without having opened the actual bars. They smell AMAZING. Every single scent is wonderful.And then I used one of them the next day.In case this is helpful to anyone, I'll explain my hair briefly. I have long, curly, very fine hair, and I wash it like two or three times a week. By the time I wash it, it's VERY dirty. I thought these shampoo bars would not stand a chance just because my hair was so gross when I finally decided to wash it. When I first rubbed the bar into my hair, I didn't think anything was happening, but within maybe ten seconds, the bar lathered like crazy! I was able to wash my hair in about half the time it normally takes me, and I'm completely convinced that I used half as much product. I go through shampoo fairly quickly, despite washing my hair only around ten times a month, but the bar seemed to be the same size! I've used it again since then, and it STILL does not appear to be much smaller at all. If this one bar doesn't last me two months, I'll be surprised. And, bonus, my hair was not oily for the next couple days. I did not have to use dry shampoo, whereas normally I use it every day. That of course might not be the case for everyone because we all have different hair, but I also gave a shampoo bar to my sister. I told her I was in love and that she had to try it. She did, and she loved it just as much as I did. My sister has ALWAYS had a very hard time finding shampoos that lather well for her; she literally has to wash her hair in like four sections normally. She didn't have to with the bar I gave her. Like it did with me, it took her way less time to wash her hair, and she also noticed that the bar was hardly smaller at all.I sincerely hope other people love these as much as I do (I really hope the company will be able to make more scents as some point!). I know this sounds ridiculous, but I genuinely don't think I will ever want to go back to using bottled shampoos. Plus, buying these instead of bottles reduces plastic waste SO much, AND you're helping out a small business. (:

Giving it a 3 stars because soaps are wrapped in plastic, if you claim to be eco friendly go all the way and try to find alternatives. Also soaps are made in China, which I do not mind but Mini Meditations claim they are hand made - more specifics would be helpful and better for advertisement - what does it mean "trusted source"? The scents are nice, would not say they are overpowering. The soaps foams good and fast, not sure about long term effect on hair yet, tried it a few times. Also wish it was mentioned what type of glycerol is used - plant or animal based? Just something I wish I had clarified before purchasing.

Let me start by describing my hair: it's long, medium-thick, and a straight, fine texture. I bleached it about 6 months ago and dyed it blonde, and as anyone with bleached hair can relate to, it gets really dry and brittle and tangled very easily. I had two concerns with this shampoo: 1) I thought it would dry out my hair like crazy, and 2) I worried it would make my color fade and turn my hair all brassy yellow.Neither one of those things happened. This shampoo is great!I wash my hair every other day. I used this shampoo three times in a row, WITHOUT ANY CONDITIONER (just to test it out), and I could still comb through my hair (which is an ACCOMPLISHMENT, let me tell you). For bleached hair, I would still recommend using some kind of conditioner or oil to keep it healthy and strong; after those initial 3 washes, I did resume using coconut and keratin oils in my hair. I'm super excited about the conditioner bars this company has in the works, because if the quality is anything like these shampoo bars, they'll be amazing.On the color note: over the three weeks that I've been regularly using this shampoo, I haven't noticed my hair getting noticeably brassy, but color WILL fade over time, as with ANY shampoo that's not specifically designed to preserve color treatment. I'm going to continue using these shampoo bars, but probably once a week I'll still use a purple shampoo to maintain the tone I like. That's my individual preference.Bottom line: if you have color-treated hair, this shampoo won't strip off the color, and it won't turn your hair into straw. It's safe, it smells great, it leaves hair soft and manageable, and it's way more eco-friendly than normal bottled shampoo! I would highly recommend it!

These are the only shampoo bars I've used (and I've tried a few) that do not leave a gross residue that mats my hair. I have used the tea tree bar and almost all of the lavender bar, and I loooove them! They lather well and do not leave a residue the way other shampoo bars have. I follow up with a (diluted) apple cider vinegar rinse and my hair is very manageable—smooth, shiny, clean, and pleasant smelling. I have had these bars since late October and have not quite gone through two, so the entire package of four will probably last me six months, which is awesome!My only complaint would be that the packaging includes a lot of plastic wrap, which is a bummer from the sustainability standpoint. However, the seller got in touch with me recently and let me know that they are working on transitioning their soap wrapping to paper so that it can be recycled. I'm so happy about this! I will definitely be buying this again and would recommend it to anyone who wants natural hair care without the "icky" effects that sometimes result (e.g., matted hair, oily/scuzzy residue, devastatingly dry ends, "smelly" hair, etc.).
