Burley Solo Jogger Kit

I love my Burley Solo & use it regular & as a stroller using the 2 wheel conversion kit. I got the jogging kit for my daily run, but it is very difficult to steer due to the front wheel not swiveling. By contrast, with the 2 wheel kit, the trailer can turn on a dime. The kit adds a lot of weight to the front of the trailer making it difficult to lift the wheel off the ground in order to turn it effectively using just the back wheels, which honestly doesn't seem very safe while jogging & pushing your precious cargo. If you're jogging down a single straight path, I guess this isn't a problem but I run on a jogging path at the park with turns. Also, the bars stick out very far in front adding more length. The wheel & bars need to be removed to fit in the trunk of my Camry & it's not as simple as a push button release to remove the kit. It does have a quick release but still requires unscrewing the release on the wheel & center bar to & then release it from where it feeds on each side of the trailer. I was hoping it would be as easy as removing the 2 back wheels, but it's not. I'm planning on returning the jogging kit & going back to my 2 wheel stroller kit.

The design is great. The big issue is the brake. The brake is worthless, because it does not lock the front wheel out. If you can find the jogging accessory without the brake buy it. It will save you probably around $50 - $80.

This is a great kit, however, it would be nice if the front wheel swiveled. The stroller is extremely smooth and durable.

Works very well, easy as a piece of pie to install.
