Melissa & Doug Wooden Snacks and Sweets Food Cart - 40+ Play Food pcs, Reversible Awning , Multi Colored

I bought this ice cream and hot dog cart after my daughter played with it at a local toy store and kept bringing it up for months. When Christmas rolled around I bit the bullet. I was a bit concerned just because this is a pricier item, and I wasn't sure if my daughter would maintain the interest she demonstrated at the toy store.It has been 4 months and she and her younger brother still play with this frequently. As with all Melissa and Doug items, it is well made and well thought out. Aside from the little bell to ring, it doesn't have any annoying sounds. It includes quite a lot of pieces, including hotdogs and buns (with toppings and ketchup and mustard bottles), popsicles, soda cans, frozen ice, ice cream sandwiches, and pretzels. Everything fits in the drawers of the cart. My daughter spends time organizing the drawers and then preparing orders for her "customers."The sign on the front of the cart and the awning can be flipped around so you can be in "hot dog cart" OR "ice cream cart" mode, although we usually mix up the two. There are prices listed for the items, so if you have a toy cash register you can also pretend to pay for things.We usually play with this alongside my younger son's Fisher Price Food Truck, and both kids share their food items and get met to taste their various creations. We also mix in other things we have, such as toy plates for our kitchen. Sometimes the stuffed animals and dolls get food for a picnic. It's really been a good toy for both kids and I would buy this again, even though it does take up some extra space in the play room.

I bought this for my daughter for her 9th birthday. She is the rarity in this day in age, she likes playing pretend and using her imagination. She is not much into electronics. Because of this we buy her anything she wants (although these bigger items are left for Christmas and birthdays, unless she has done chorus and saved the money for in-between the holidays) because of this what do you get a girl that has everything?? She LOVES playing restaurant and she wanted something along those lines, so we searched Amazon and found this. I was a little hesitant about getting it because I didn’t know how cheap it was going to look/be. I was stunned by now NOT cheap looking it was. It is made exceptionally well, very sturdy. All the items included… the menu board-is printed on a thick plastic board (thick enough you can not bend), all the items/food- are solid (not hollow) through and through, the awning-good thickness, all the drawers and top sliding lid are very easy to open and close, AND LETS NOT FORGET THAT THE WHEELS ACTUALLY ROLL- smoothly EVERYTHING was made to last! I don’t know why I ever doubted ”Melissa & Doug” product 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ stupid me.All in all it is well worth the money! Not that I would ever wish something to cost more 😳 but I am surprised it wasn't more.Set up was fairly easy/moderate and took around 20 minutes for husband with the help of our daughter finding and handing him the next pieces. I think he did have to use his own tool though.BUY BUY BUY BUY you won't regret 🤩🤩

This was a gift for my great nephew/ Godson . I know everyone (ok practically everyone) says this but he is an amazing little guy.Advanced vocabulary for his age etc. hopefully will keep him occupied for a least a day or so.He loves it

This was, hands down, the most loved Christmas gift my kids (ages 6, 5, and 3) have ever received. It has tremendous play value!We have a nice 3pc play kitchen and tons of M&D play foods (the ice cream and condiments get the most use!), so we already knew "playing restaurant" was a common activity for all of our children. But this adds a whole new level of fun, without being redundant. They each LOVE taking orders and finding what we've requested in the drawers. The play foods are all adorable, especially the ketchup/mustard that appear to pour when tipped, and the twin-pop popsicles that velcro together. The compartments in the drawer are a nice feature, as the kids pick up after play and put things away nicely.Assembling the unit was slightly overwhelming, as there were more pieces than you might imagine. But once it was complete it functioned perfectly. Our 3yo is able to maneuver it around and operate the drawers easily. Flipping the signs (awning and front menu) is easy and fun, and they don't seem to show wear from constant switching. The awning is a bit low/short for the older kids, but they don't seem to mind.Overall I would enthusiastically recommend this to anyone! My kids absolutely LOVE this toy and I'm very pleased with it as well.

Overall looks good and cute and the child loves it, but received item with a lot of damage. Kept it because we waited long enough for it and the kiddo didnt want to wait any longer but since it is wood we will have to seal it otherwise it will absorb water for sure! Especially with the price, we were pretty bummed it was as damaged as it was.

Our little man is going to love this as much as he is obsessed with ice cream! We would have given it 5 stars but the menu for the front of the cart was missing and there is no way to contact the seller- having to return the whole item to receive a missing part 2 days before Christmas is not something we can do. Other than that it is great!

Put this together by myself in about 45 minutes for my granddaughter for Christmas. Well made. Easy to assemble. She LOVES it. Highly recommended.
