Very difficult for me to open.
As a woman I am find very difficult to open the chain to extend my 8.5 rain chain to 10 ft. The reviews made it sound so easy. I am having great difficulty. I was hoping to find the smaller chain like the one that came with rain chain I purchased but I cannot seem to find that.

Exactly What I was looking for!
The 4 foot extension was exactly what I needed for the two 8 foot rain chains I purchased. I needed a total of ten feet...splitting the 4 foot extension provided what I needed...it was easy to split and install on the 8 foot pieces to get the 10 foot total I needed.

I made new openings in my gutter and installed two so water will run down and then away from the house, they really look great.
