Stanwood Rain ChainBell/Cup Shaped Copper Rain Chain, 8-Feet

Gorgeous! We've had it for about 9 months now and it's starting to discolor a bit, but not the patina that will develop eventually. We had to experiment a bit with the connection point to the gutter as we found that depending on the rain volume some of the water would splash out right at the top cup and never make it down the chain. We had to settle on a custom hanger which I built myself to hang the chain closer to the downspout of the gutter. If the manufacturer could shorten their hanger or provide a couple different options that would be good. The chain was the perfect length to reach right to the ground and we have what I would call a standard 1 story house with a 5:12 pitched eave. Drains water efficiently directly into my lawn without puddling or erosion.

I haven't seen many of these around, but A rain chain is very appropriate for Oregon,and much better looking than the nasty metal duct work crawling up the sides of thehouse.It rained yesterday after we hooked it up and it worked quite well and we are verypleased with the total effect. It will be even better when the copper ages and getsfunky looking.We are already planning some less elaborate ones for the back and sides of the house.The rain drains into the rock-filled pot, out the bottom, and down the rocks towards the fence.There is a very large, clear plastic plant pot saucer type thing under the rocks with a cut in theside to direct the water away from the house. We just love the total effect.This just took minutes to install and no tools. Very easy project indeed.It's now Aug 2020 and we still love this rain chain. Five more stars.

I recently purchased a copper rain chain as a 7th anniversary gift for my husband. Upon receiving it, I was very pleased with the quality of the product and glad that I had chosen the 8 foot length or it would have come up very short. We used it to replace an unsightly downspout on our front porch and my husband was able to install it in just a few minutes. It was lovely on its own, but once we were able to see it in action during a light rain we just fell in love with it. It creates a very soothing sound as well as a mesmerizing visual effect and has been a beautiful addition to our outdoor space.

This rain chain is so much prettier than the downspout. I replaced the downspout on my shed with this rain chain and I love it. I can see the rain chain from my kitchen window and it's so much nicer looking. Also, when it does rain it's very cool to see the water cascading from funnel to funnel and the gutters no longer clog! This chain appears to be very well made and is easy to size to the proper length. I don't know if the copper is treated but I haven't noticed any patina yet - but that's okay 'cause it's pretty as is.

Easy to adjust the length; I hung up the short 'leftover' strand from another part of the porch and it looks soo cute!works well guiding rain to the ground; here in Texas we usually get a far amount of wind with rain so I had to anchor the last cup to the ground; the copper has started to weather and looks quite good

Easy to install, good finish however I wish the copper would not have begun tarnishing within days of being installed. Otherwise it is very nice quality and works well.

This rain chain is perfect. It works beautifully with very little splashing. A very pretty piece off of our patio deck. I highly recommend this product. The price is great compared to others that I found.

This copper rain chain is so beautiful!!! The water flows through it with ease, and almost no splash. I loved the simplicity of this rain chain and I'm so happy with my choice. It's a heavy gauge copper, excellent quality. I bought a pair and they look so nice in my front yard!
