Tulip Flower Blossom Copper Rain Chain, 8-Feet

Terrific and lots of fun. We order two due to the height. They are very strong fun to watch (but we have to be out in the rain to see it.)We drilled a 3/8" hole straight through the gutter from front to back. Then screwed in a galvanized 3/8" x 6" lag bolt through the gutter and into the board behind it. Then wired the top of the rain chain up through the hole where the leader pipe used to be to the lag bolt.I'm told that in the winter the hole thing freezes up and as it melts it's really beautiful. Another reason for a solid mount: with all that ice in the chain, it's going to get heavy!

Good product. Very well designed and works as intended. Very easy to install with properoptions added such as the end gutter unit with plastic hole and the optional catch-all (first)element at top. Attaches very easily with two drilled holes in the plastic unit at top. The last option,copper dish plate, used at the bottom is not as useful as designed;as it doesn't stay upright when attached. I rigged it to remain perpendicular to the rain chain butcustomized it with two added 1/4 inch diameter copper rods for balance. A better option is to adda synthetic resin rain barrel at the bottom to catch and hold rain water. I bought two of these unitsfrom Gardener's Supply (best designs and price) and they work great.

I bought this tulip rain chain for my wife three years ago and she just loves it. I remembered when we received the rain chain how nice it looked and the heavy gauge copper was outstanding. We keep it up all year even through our heavy Michigan winters. It looks just as good as the day we took it out of the shipping box. I would buy another chain if I had a place to put it. Excellent product and I can't stress that enough. There is a lot of splashing during heavy rains, which we don't mind, just place some rocks at the base to prevent water erosion.

Excellent rain chain altogether! I own a gutter company and we install rain chains regularly. For half the price, this product meets and/or exceeds the same quality and look at the ones we used to buy.I only wish the diameter wire 4 inches rather than the 3 inches, but again this is a great quality product, especially for the price.

To catch the rain off our patio instead of a down spout I chose a rain chain. I am going to spray my copper rain chain with a clear sealing spray so that it will keep it’s copper color.

I attached it from the downspout hole in my guttering into a rain barrel. It looks almost too good for the rain barrel!But because the rain barrel is tall I used only about 1/2 the chain and so used the other half of the chain to attach to the roof where two planes of the roof meet. It drains into the garden and works really well. It is really pretty even when not raining. I'm buying two more for the front of the house on either side of porch.

We have a deep overhang at our back porch and just couldn't figure out the best way to direct gutter rain without ugly downspouts. Then my wife suggested a "rain chain"! It was a little pricey, but was easy to install, is very attractive (especially as it acquires a nice patina), and we love the way it dances during our Florida rains. With the cost of copper these days, I hope nobody will swipe our rain chain.
