Mekhala Organic Gluten-Free Thai Green Curry Paste 3.53oz

Its a small jar, but packed with power. 2 tsps per meal is all you need. You get 4 servings per jar. Each serving could feed a family of 4, depending how you make it and how big of an eater you are. I put some red onion, white carrot, mushrooms and red and green bell pepper in a pan with a couple teaspoons of coconut oil. When I could smell the veggies, I added a can of drain and rinsed chickpeas. After a couple minutes I put a teaspoon more coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of the sauce. Let the sauce (paste) get warm and added a can of simple coconut cream and let simmer while I made a serving of pad thai noodles. It had a nice mellow heat to it, but you could add a thai chili or jalapeno it you want it undeniably hot. I enjoyed it, and have plenty left over.

Have you tried to find a decent yellow curry paste? I have and have have finally found one. This paste is soooooo good and well seasoned. Have already bought two more jars and will be buying more!

Yellow curry paste was very difficult to find in the stores. This arrived quickly and was very flavorful.

I use this for any recipe that calls for lemongrass, since lemongrass is a lot of work to prep.I also use it with coconut milk for chicken satay marinade.The ingredients are safe for my friend who has a ton of food allergies.I can keep an unopened bottle on my shelf for a long time, much longer than fresh lemongrass or the minced refrigerated lemongrass, so it's super convenient.

I'm not sure if the yellow curry is supposed to be like that but in Thailand it wasn't and the Mae ploy brand isn't either. It's more red curry than yellow. Too spicy for my liking. The Mae ploy brand is less spicy more fragrant.

This is the kind of product you buy when you want to really bless somebody with a nice gift, but I would not buy it on a regular basis because it is so expensive!!

Funky smell and taste is very far from what a good Tom Yum should taste like. I should have know after seeing the ingredients label. You're not getting any of the lemongrass or the tangy sweetness of the tamarind. Ingredients list does show lemongrass, but you really can't even get a hint of it in this taste and it's also missing the distinctive sweet and sour taste. Would not buy again.
