These magnetic hoops are simply amazingly easy to use! The magnets hold very tight and are low enough not to catch on my needle. The only problem I had was the plastic strip on the bottom was catching on the edge of my machine base. I think the plastic strip needs to extend the length of the base of hoop. So I cut a few layers of masking tape to stick right at the end of plastic and no more bumping and works like a dream!

Just finished a qui!t using this hoop to embroider repetitive quilt motifs around the outer framed area of the quilt to make it look hand quilted. So much easier than hooping and trying to center everything in a standard brother hoop. I could set up the first design , quilt, and move the fabric to my next marked centerline without removing everything, in hooping and re hooping. Only issue I had was the learning curve to make certain my quilt did not put pressure on the quilting arm and knock my design on of alignment, same thing can happen with a standard hoop. So easy to use, I will be buying other sizes of this. Works perfectly in my Brother machine.

I absolutely love this kind of hoop I also have the 5x7 the work very, very good. Depends on what you are hooping will depend on more magnetics you will need, thicker like towels you need more. I have the other type of hoop as well where the magnetic hoop is all the way around the same as the hoop it holds very good but to me it is harder to line up your design because the magnetic is so strong it causes your alignment to get messed up and it takes me longer to get it hooped correctly, and I tend to have to take more time trying to get it straight. I have embroidered for many years and I find these hoops with the individual magnetics awesome, and the price I think is very reasonable. I hope you find this very helpful. I was on the fence about getting this versus the expensive known hoops. I really like this especially after I bought magnetic name badges and use the magnetic half for the hoops instead of the included magnetics. It’s great. Give it a try!

Had a slip on and mine has two pins it needs to push on.

Yes it does hold well. But It almost threw my machine out of alignment as you have to be very careful the needle and (whatever you call the thing that moves up and down) doesn't get in the way which is very easy to do...I wish the magnets were flatter so they are easier to move my hoop in and out of the machine...Other than that (which ends up being a pain in the butt) it does what it's supposed to do. I find I don't use it as much as my other hoops (I can still float easier on a regular hoop than manuvering around the magnets) Its what you can tolorate more than the other.

Love to use this for my flat bed machine. Takes hooping to a much easier level.

Works great with my Babylock Flare! I wished it came with more magnets though. I use the ones that came with another hoop and it works. Great value though!!

This is the second Embroidex magnetic hoop I have bought. I first bought a 4 x 4 hoop for my Brother MD280 (which I have since sold) and I have now bought this 5 x 7 for my new Brother V3 machine.Both machines have different hoop fittings and these Embroidex hoops fit both machines perfectly.They also have the velvety feel on the right side of the hoop which holds material and prevents slipping and sliding. The magnets are really strong too. Well worth the money.

The magnets are not able to hold the fabric in place. Perhaps another 4 pieces of magnets might help.

This magnetic hoop is very good especially when embroidery to hems edges ect.Magnets are strong enough to hold the stabiliser and material in place but beware of placement in respect of sewing needle position .

How easy to use

I really love this embroidery hoop, the only thing was, I used some voille and it really needed extra magnets to keep the fabric perfectly still, although thick fabric was fine. I've now purchased extra magnets and it works like a dream. Can't wait for a 10x6" to come out.
