Al BohsaliMaamoul Walnut Shortbread Cookies 24 pcs

I purchased the Al Bohsali Maamoul Pistachio 24 pc.THE BADWhen I first opened the box and removed the protective individual cover, I almost had a heart attack... The maamoul was not the typical elongated pistachio maamoul... It had the shape of the Dates Maamoul that I hate beyond words.I was going to call Amazon and ask for an immediate refund...Still, I developed the courage to open the mamouul with extremely high blood pressure, I was soooo relieved to see pistachios not dates.THE GOODAll is good afterwards... The protective cover has been changed now to very dark green, the "new" round and thick shape allows AL Bohasli to put in more Pistachio filling, and much less dry and crumbly semolina-butter dough. THAT alone kept the dough moist and cohesive. Sinking your teeth into such delightful mamoul is a total sin... and it gives you the full bite you remember from Lebanon....Congratulations, Al Bohsali... I now fully recommend the "new" Bohsali Maamoul Pistachio 24 pc.

I have lived in the Middle East and have had many of these sweets both homemade and store bought, including this brand. These are excellent and probably the best I have had in the United States so far. So glad they are available! The nut filled ones where a little overcooked (darker on the outside than I am used to) and some of the walnut ones had giant pieces of walnut in them. They are still the best in flavor, texture and how thin the cookie layer is surrounding the stuffing. Very well packaged.

Delicious? yes ... But unfortunately, while eating one of them, it broke my tooth. Was surprised to see that it was a pistachio shell 1/2 inch in size. It is sad, that while the maamool tasted good, this happened. Now I have to go to the dentist and pay a dentist fee to fix my tooth. It is very sad that the pistachios were not diligently cleaned from their shells before filling the maamool pastry. For the price, one would expect outstanding quality. Really disappointed.

Authentic Lebanese Maamoul, high quality product, delicious and balanced taste of ingredients. High quality packaging shows how much Bohsali cares for their customers to receive their products in the best condition possible! I love it, I purchased it for all my friends and families in several cities and states and all received their products on time before Easter holiday. I highly recommend Bohsali 1870. Thank you Bohsali.I recommend to include an ingredient label on the product, it is posted online, but not included with the shipped product. Also if you could place a customer label inside to show who the package was a gift from, I surprised my aunt she had no clue who send it to her, no label from who bought the gift for her.

After reading a lot of reviews on this product I'm disappointed at the quality of it.

Just received mine today.They were sent swiftly and the packing is A+.I didn't expect the cookies to be this good. They are a cross between butter cookies and pound cake and tasted fresh--Also, not too sweet. The light hint of rose was pleasant. I'm spoiled, I need these every month.

Not fresh, half of the cookie crumbled on to the floor. Left grain like corn meal in my mouth, even a bad taste. The cookies were in a aluminum foil pan from the grocery store. No labels or nutrition facts or ingredients. The cookies were in individual sealed plastic bags, but again no nutrition fact or ingredients

Pistachio maamoul is delicious. High quality food with excellent packaging and shipping speed. I wish it is a little cheaper so I can afford having it all the time! Date maamoul is good too but it’s large and filled with too much date paste, the dough is made of semolina and the taste is not like other maamoul. Their date maamoul is not my favorite.
