We have been hand grinding our coffee beans using a small Turkish mill for over a decade. It's time consuming, but it has been worth it considering the quality of espresso we get. Recently I came across this little gem. It's USB rechargeable and uses modern ceramic grinding gears. We only use the milling function, but it works really well and is much faster than our hand mill. Don't know about longterm use, but it appears to be well made. Very happy with it.Here us our mobile set up, with a stove top espresso pot, on our Origo1500 alcohol stove, inside our former FedEx DIY Stepvan travel home conversion.

I am enjoying this grinder. Once I found my preferred coffee coarseness (which took a few brews) I have settled in to a daily morning routine.

I purchased mine from a different Amazon seller but it is the same burr grinder. I have a hand burr grinder which takes about 3 minutes to grind a cup's worth of coffee beans. I liked this battery operated grinder because it was still a burr grinder but eliminated my hand grinding. Vibration from the unit caused the grind setting to constantly change but I considered that a minor annoyance since it was easy to adjust. But a plastic piece required to turn the grinder broke after only a few months use. I would have given a slightly higher rating except there was no way to contact the company asking for a replacement part. The manual mentioned no contact info and there was none available on the Amazon site. Therefore, I would avoid buying this grinder.
