Icebreaker MerinoWomen's 260 Tech Leggings

5 years ago I bought two pair of these 260 weight womens leggings. I wear a pair every day under my thin outdoor pants plus rain pants in Forest school, from late October to the end of March. I absolutely love them and was glad to find a new pair. I’m still using the old ones but they are beginning to get some holes. I get cold easily in our damp Tennessee winters, but these leggings (or long johns or whatever you want to call them) are perfect. They are a great investment. I buy a size up because I don’t like anything to be tight.

I am very particular about waistbands because while I'm rather thin everywhere else, I have a tummy, and hate tight waistbands. This one is very comfortable, so much so that I forget I'm wearing a base layer. It's also warm too. I've been living in it since I received it in the mail.

I loved these at first, but the elastic failed around the waste in a less than 2 years. Now they won’t stay on. Much cheaper brands have maintained their fit.

I wore these as my only base layer for a 10 day Elk hunt in Colorado during the middle of November. Temperatures ranged from 5-45 degrees. These kept me warm and were extremely breathable while climbing up 1400 feet in elevation. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs. I kept the smalls but the mediums fit a touch longer, since I had boots and gaiters on I simply didnt need the length. I would highly recommend these and will be looking to get another pair. I plan to use these to go tubing this winter in ohio as well.

Great base layer.

Loved the product! These are super soft and very comfortable. However, after wearing them only twice, there is already a hole in them. Given the high cost of this product, I would've expected a much higher quality than this. I will not be purchasing these leggings again.

I have a lot of icebreaker merchandize and have been very pleased over the years with how well it stands up to wear and washing. I wore this heavier version of the base wear leggings over an older pair of the lighter weight base wear leggings during a recent trip to the arctic to photograph polar bears. The performance was right up to my high expectations.

I had to give these only three stars because even though the fit is superior the first pair I ordered had holes in it from brand new the second pair seem to be okay

Icebreaker is my favourite brand for base layers to wear skiing. I wear these 260 leggings under my ski trousers (which are the stretchy fitted kind) and stay warm whilst skiing in the Alps during the winter and spring.They’re a thin wool material, so they’re not the type of leggings I would wear alone, but I love them under ski trousers.Just be sure to follow the washing instructions- I always wash mine on cold and hang dry to prevent shrinking.
