LEGOStar Wars 75049 Snowspeeder Building Toy (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

This is a great set. Not only is it very interactive, but its very close to the actual set, scale wise especially. Pros;-two seater cockpit, with opening feature like in the movie for either the pilot or another for both-gunners station is very good and detailed, with a working blaster cannon and a tow cable with winch which can attach onto the AT-AT thats sold seperately.-The inside is nice, with an area between the two seats to store a blaster (belonging to Dak Ralter).-engine flaps move up, like in the movie, for cooling engines, with engine sticker beneath flaps.-cannon the stormtrooper uses is a very good make of it, designed off of the one from ESB that was used to attack the escaping Millennium Falcon on Hoth.Cons;-Not enough bad guys; one ship against a small cannon isn't that interesting of a battleMinifigures;Luke Skywalker: great rendition, newly updated head, with orange blast shields printed on one side with a determined look, and the other him smiling with orange blast shields pulled up. The face also is based off the new printing, from Mos Eisley Cantina and Jawa Sandcrawler. Both have a microphone on. New helmet printing as well, and a new torso design, that leads on down to the legs.Dak Ralter: Great newer rendition, with the plain white and blue helmet design, orange blast shields on both sides. Has a microphone on both. One side has Dak smiling, the other is him screaming, most likely for when he was hit by the AT-AT walkers blast. His torso and legs are the same as Lukes.Snowtrooper: New design completely, very detailed backpack, very good new head (a lot more better and realistic than the old one) and a new torso, as well as a skirt like thing.Overall this was a great set.

Cool toy. My son age 4.5 put this together with minimal help. He loves these things. I should've bought stock in Legos. Expensive but worth the smile. Fit and quality are excellent and instructions are as expected. Recommended.

I got this as both a lego lover from my early childhood and a star wars fanatic. Now in my adult years I don't like legos as much as I should be but my nephews are so this is prefect for what I needed. thou it isn't at detailed as I thought since it has less pieces then it's bigger brother

I built this with my 5-year-old daughter and it was a blast. It's definitely too difficult for a kid that young to finish on her own, but as a team effort it's a great choice. It's just the right size for small kids to hold and pretend to fly around, but watch out for the projectiles. They short really far and could easily put out an eye.

The build was fun for my 5 year old. It’s pretty sturdy with few parts falling apart (although the canopy ought to be more secured)The lack of orange accent tends to irk me as it gives the snowspeeder it’s iconic stature.But it does give it a more grimier look.The cockpit is small. With the 2 pilots sitting in there, they are literally touching helmet to helmet and the rear pilot’shelmet is rest against the top of the canopy.The rear gun is tension activated and can propel the small round, blue stud a good distance away (> 3 feet).Uncoil the harpoon and place it in the same gun, you can try to aim for the AT-AT legs.The 2 blasters below is spring activated and does a good job shooting the 2 red laser (transparent plastic)The minifigures are typical star wars. Luke, Rater and Snow Stormy.The tripod gun looks great.Build Instructions were probably rushed. Typically affixing stickers would have been highlighted with arrows but there was 1 where it just appear in the next diagram.Ok for adults but not good for a 5 year old to spot the differences to stick it.A must have if you haven’t had any Lego snowspeeder before.

I have the original Snowspeeder from 1999 so when I saw this one I decided to see how much LEGO has improved on the model since then and I was not dissapointed, the level of detail across the whole of the set front to back, top to bottom is leaps and bounds ahead the original model! The only downside of this set in my opinion is the reliance on stickers to achieve the final look.

Incredible kit and very well staged in terms of putting it together. The projectile elements are pretty ingenious, especially the grappling hook. Snowtrooper mini-fig is awesome, as is his tripod-mounted blaster. Was looking to nerd out/return to childhood for a few hours and this more than did the trick. Now sitting on a place of pride on my bookshelf.

Having played Lego since a child and having been to Lego Land, these kits capture the fun and creativity of a what a few blocks can do. Overall good for collecting or playing!

Many thanks to The Collectors Cupboard for selling to me this excellent little kit. Appreciations for the care and attention given to the preservation and dispatch of this well designed lego model. Of course thanks as well to Amazon for enabling the whole operation. I had to pay €31 import customs charge because UK no longer in EU. This however did not put me off the purchase because I really like the kit. I bought used due to excessive costs of buying new but the kit as such is fine and I'm very well satisfied with it. Commendations to all involved from a grateful Irish customer.

My 9 year old grandson was thrilled to receive this set and got right to assembling it. He was able to follow the clear instructions, all parts were accounted for and the unit turned out to meet his expectations and mind.

My 6 year old Grandson loved every minute of assembling this and plays with it now that it's assembled. What more could you ask for in a toy.

This was my nephews first lego set and he absolutely loves it
