Slim Line Digital Hygrometer

Ordered two. Used the Boveda 1-step Calibration Kit to set them. One works great, the other will not adjust and is 2% off. Requested return from store. Told return period had expired. Advised to seek replacement under warranty from manufacturer. Sigh.REVISION (5-5-2015) Since leaving the prior 4-star review for the HygroSet adjustable hygrometer I've learned that the proper why to make the adjustment is to press the reset button "after" turning the adjustment knob. Once I did this, the hygrometer that was not working for me adjusted properly and now displays the correct reading.There is a +/- 3% variance in the hygrometers (due to manufacturing) that must be accounted for as well. I've purchased five HygroSet Hygrometers to date. For each one, I completed the initial adjustment using Boveda's 1-Step Calibration Kit (http://www.amazon.com/Boveda-One-Step-Hygrometer-Calibration-Kit/dp/B000A3UBLA/ref=sr_1_3?m=A211C28GSC458&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1430884960&sr=1-3).They now all show within 2% the same humidity readings. So, I'm convinced this product works as advertised, and am upgrading my rating to five stars.I restore vintage guitars. After trying nearly every other brand of digital hygrometer to track my shop's humidity, including AccuRight (which really should be called AccuWRONG), I now trust only HygroSets.

I had let this set for almost a year before opening, having done so, it does not work properly, there is no way to reach these people and amazon messenger said they refuse to contact seller as its out of the 30 day window. So dont trust amazon, dont trust cigar warehouse.. these guys dont even show their phone number and they ship out of a warhouse that is NOT a store. In other words, RUN AWAY FROM THIS PURCHASE.I have several other hygrometers, none of them are accurate, zero out of five, so I wanted one I could calibrate.. So I guess I am stuck using marker on the front of devices saying + or - however many degrees they are off... I am totally pissed and both amazon and seller and manufacturer.. Under the biggest magnifying glass I have In tiny print... MADE IN CHINA... of course... GOOD LUCK PEOPLE

Item arrived on time. put it in a calibration kit for twenty four hours and it was spot on. Nice one. Little hard to see for a old guy.

You can adjust the humidity to calibrate it. To me, this gives me an uneasy feel. I wanted a precalibrated, ready to use device. Not something I had to calibrate. Supposedly it comes with a special bag that allows for calibration. I didn't get the bag. No way to calibrate it except with another hygrometer...Updated 11/2:Attempted to calibrate and this thing is way off. It reads 39% RH when it should be over 50%. It does not have enough adjustment to set it high enough. I have the dial turned as high as it will go and it is still off by more than 10% RH. Total junk. Don't buy. Save your money. I have not use for this item.

Works as advertised. Front bracket came off, but is not effecting the unit.

They have instructions making you use the packaging it came from to set the Hygrometer I'd already ripped into the packaging making it impossible to set the ratio correctly another waste of time! Bottom line the product does not work at all!
