These blanks are not solid stainless steel. I'd approximate the actual iron content per blank at somewhere between two and five percent. Im just guessing here but i'm thinking that they were produced by applying an actual stainless steel foil to a thin sheeting of aluminum or zink that the blanks were then punched out of.I purchased these for projects that make use of the magnetic properties of the iron content of stainless steel but since the iron value is so low a percentage of each blanks total weight there is very little magnetic force generated even when using very strong neodymium magnets!Bottom line these blanks are not what they are advertised as being.

These things are perfect for what I need. One side is mirror finish and protected by plastic. I will definitely be ordering more!

I use these for laser engraving with my fiber laser. To the reviewer who said the backs were painted white. That's not true, it's a white protective film that peels off revealing a highly polished finish on that side. I've ordered them twice and will do so again.

Ordered these blanks for laser etching nice size and amazing quality
