The best of the best!
I was raised by a Japanese grandmother who introduced me to Kimchi at a young age. This particular brand gives me those nostalgic feelings that take me back to my childhood and young adult life. It's honestly some of the best Kimchi I have ever had in my life. The flavor is outstanding, and the cabbage is premium quality. I will forever support this brand and continue to buy their products. It pairs perfectly with Botan rice.

As a newbie to Kimchi, this is tangy, fresh and delicious
Mother-in-Law's Kimchi House Napa Cabbage Kimchi is a premium, artisanal kimchi that brings the authentic taste of Korean tradition to your table. This brand is renowned for its dedication to preserving the traditional methods of kimchi-making, using high-quality ingredients and time-honored techniques to produce a kimchi that is deeply flavorful and rich in probiotics. The star of this kimchi is Napa cabbage, which is carefully fermented to develop its distinctive tangy, spicy, and slightly sour flavor profile. The fermentation process not only enhances the taste but also packs the kimchi with beneficial probiotics, which are great for gut health and digestion. This makes it not only a delicious addition to meals but also a nutritious one. What sets Mother-in-Law's Kimchi apart is its bold, complex flavor. The use of fresh garlic, ginger, and Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) gives the kimchi a robust kick, balanced by the natural sweetness of the cabbage and the umami depth from the fermentation. Each bite delivers a satisfying crunch and a vibrant, layered taste that reflects the careful crafting process behind it.This kimchi is incredibly versatile. It can be enjoyed straight from the jar as a side dish, added to stir-fries, used in soups, or even as a topping on burgers and sandwiches to add a spicy, tangy punch. Its authentic flavor makes it a staple for Korean cuisine lovers and a fantastic introduction for those new to kimchi.Overall, Mother-in-Law's Kimchi House Napa Cabbage Kimchi is a standout choice for anyone seeking a high-quality, traditional kimchi that delivers on both flavor and health benefits. Whether you're a kimchi connoisseur or a newcomer, this kimchi is sure to impress with its depth of flavor and artisanal quality.

So so
Its different, not in a bad way but I can see how some people wouldn’t particularly like this kind. It tastes “Americanized” if that makes sense, like Taco Bell’s tacos. No kick to the flavor, more tangy, but still ok tasting. 5.5/10

Pretty good Korean style Kimchi
As a Korean who has lived for about 30 years, I find the taste of Kimchi quite good. While there are many more delicious varieties of kimchi in Korea, it is meaningful that it can be ordered through Amazon.미국에서 주문할 수 있는 그럴듯한 김치. 신김치 싫어하시면 추천드리지 않지만 그런대로 먹을만 합니다.

I HAVE ALWAYS MADE ...
MY KIMCHI AT HOME...SINCE I WAS INDULGING MY LAZINESS I CHOSE TO PURCHASE THIS MOTHER'S KIMCHI...WHAT A HUUUGE MISTAKE. FIRST OFF, BEFORE OPENING THE JAR, I NOTICED IT WAS NOT FILLED TO THE TOP AND THE LIQUID HAD DRIED A BIT, SO AS TO NOT COVER THE CABBAGE. A HUGE NO NO NO...I OPENED IT AND NOTICED QUICKLY IT HAD NO SMELL WHATSO EVER. HONESTLY THIS WAS THE WORST KIMCHI I HAVE EVER EATEN AND HOPE NEVER TO EAT IN FUTURE. NOW I HAVE TO GO AND FIND NAPA CABBAGE TO PREPARE MY OWN...LAZINESS HAS TAUGHT ME A GREAT LESSON...BUYER BEWARE THIS MOTHER IN LAW'S KIMCHI SUCKS BIG TIME. DO NOT BUY IF YOU USE NO SALT...WWWWAY TO SALTY. I COULD NOT BELIEVE A COMPANY WOULD USE SUCH AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF SALT TO SELL TO THE PUBLIC...BUYER***BEWARE*** MAKE YOUR OWN. ON THE WHOLE THIS DID NOT LOOK VERY APPETISING AT ALL. YOU WOULD BE ILL-ADVISED TO PURCHASE, REALLY

Grows On You But Could Be Better: Vegan v. Standard
Overall, I find the vegan version to be tasty. However, it is a bit on the sour side due to the self-evident lack of fish sauce that would add a balancing element to the sour with its umami profile and saltiness. A little more chili for heat and flavor may help and would be welcome. They could also add in some mushroom, seaweed, or even a little MSG on its own to make up for the lacking fish sauce.Lastly, there a lot of confusion in the reviews between the vegan version and standard. Standard kimchi has fish sauce in it, which obviously adds a distinct and deep flavor profile. Vegan kimchi without an ingredient replacement will obviously taste different. Make sure you're buying the version you want so as to preserve you time and effort and to avoid misdirected complaint.Truly though, Amazon should stop conflating products by filing all reviews together simply because they are from the same line of products. This practice regularly contributes to confusion and likely to wrong or mistaken purchases.

If your not picky and want spicy as hell then try it!
Day one full Day two gone ! My dad looked in the fridge and yelled where’s the kimchi? Lols! Depending on your spice tolerance it can be super spicy or blend . I have a very low spice tolerance so to me it was a bit spicy but enough that a bowl of rice balances it out. It is hard to open but take a knife smack it down the middle and let some air out. Definitely one of the better kimchi I had in nyc. Price is a little on the higher side but being locked in and parents won’t allow take out food this really does curb the urge
