Produced from naturally grown olive trees in Morocco's Atlas Mountains, Auzoud's olives and olive oil are sourced from a small farmers' cooperative that guarantees fair wages and sustainable harvesting practices. After watching his grandfather and other farming families struggle to bring their goods to market for a fair price, Auzoud owner Mejid Beraouz co-founded the cooperative to support better economic and social conditions for agricultural workers in his homeland. The cooperative seeks to unify and empower local farmers as they obtain fair prices for their olives and a more sustainable livelihood for themselves and their families. There are currently over a hundred cooperative members with many more farmers seeking to participate in the next harvest. One of the cooperative’s goals is to educate members about sustainable olive farming. To this end, Auzoud and cooperative members are working together to obtain organic certification for all current and new members.

Keep looking.. unless you have no better option.
I kept trying to convince myself that this was a buy, since I have been searching for a good Moroccan olive oil for the past year. I’m not 100% convinced that this is fresh and/or purely Moroccan- or at least it’s not from the Atlas Mountains. It smells like it is flirting with the idea of going rancid, and has that characteristic flat taste that made me turn my nose up at “fancy” Italian olive oil all these years. That is- until I had fresh olive oil in the Atlas Mountains, outside of Marrakech. I could actually TASTE the olive fruitiness in the oil. I went to heaven and back.I’m further convinced that I’ll have to venture back and buy a few liters to bring back home as opposed to finding it stateside, but one can dream, right?I like Auzoid’s proposed practice of giving back to the community- so I give them three stars. As a side note: I found some “desert miracle” in a HomeGoods store last week for half the price. Even though it was made in 2016- the flavor is much closer to the Atlas Mnt olive oil that my tastebuds desire.

OUTSTANDING! I love EVerything about this oil including its price!
What a wonderful vision and project and what a fab oil!As an olive oil consumer for taste as well as health reasons, I recently learned about yet more of its healthgiving properties. Since Morocco's olive trees were said to produce more of that substance I Amazoned and chose two kinds. While I also love the taste and aroma of the other and will continue using it, THIS one is as of now my staple.

Taste and flavor
This is one of the best olive oil I have come across. It’s silky with a gentle nutty taste not much irritating in the throat and mild peppery flavor. Please pay attention:In the nutrition facts label the amount of polyunsaturated fat and mono saturated should be reversed. This composition is what sets olive oil apart from other oils. Please correct the label.Khashi charepoo

Love this stuff. Haven't been able to buy it recently.
I hope it becomes available again. It is a reasonably priced very flavorful olive oil. It is nice for salad dressings, where the flavor really matters.

Morocco which is known to produce the best olive oil and I was excited to try this
I grew up in the region of Taza, Morocco which is known to produce the best olive oil and I was excited to try this, so I ordered one bottle through prime and the item arrived couple days later on time and in good condition, however the moment I opened the bottle and smelled it, I knew it was going to be a disappointment, then I poured a couple ounces in a small plate and it looked very light, then I tried it and it tasted nothing like Moroccan olive oil, more like any other brand you will find in your local store, I even had other brands that tasted stronger and richer in flavor and costed half the price. If you are Moroccan or you have traveled to Morocco and fell in love with REAL Moroccan olive oil, I suggest you stay away, this was a complete rip off and I'm staying this in the nicest possible way.
