Northfield Sportswear Men's All-season Zip Hoodie Waterproof Softshell Jacket

I was looking for a light weight softshell and this one is it. It is longer than standard softshell jackets which I love. The inside feels like fleece. It also has a detachable hood. Some reviews complained about the zippers. We only had it for a week so I can't give a review about how long its zippers will last, but will update the review if they give in. (Edit): after few weeks the zipper holders broke.

This jacket is the perfect size. A Large would have been too small as this jacket is true to fit. It makes me look slimmer. I love that this is a all-season jacket light for a Fall evening and perfect for a southern Winter day. The lenght of the jacket is long enough to cover my behind just incase I need to bend over and not feel the breeze. Great quality fabric and great buy for the money.

Jacket fits a bit more slender than I expected, meaning I, as a woman, can wear only a light-weight fleece under it and be comfortable to about low 40s. It was suggested the sleeves are a bit short. I found the sleeves reach my knuckles, a comfortable length, and the velcro tab is very easy to use, to cinch the sleeves tighter around my wrists. Love the hood, the lining on both hood and jacket, and the wind-proof soft shell is perfect for our mid-south winter temps. The length is perfect, covering the hips, and the zippered pockets are well placed for comfort. The collar, when zipped to the top, is lined inside, making good protection from wind. Combined with the detachable hood, you will be protected from wintry winds.and light rain/mist/fog.

Quality of the cloth is terrible! The actual jacket, even if it fit, it still felt like I was wearing a garbage bag or something that does not feel comfortable!

If you are normally an XL this jacket in XL will fit, but snugly with no room for layering. If you get the XXL, it's gonna be big, almost sloppy big. The zipper fastens from the opposite side of the coat that a mans zipper normally fastens. I live in California and we recently had some very wet weather. I was out in the hard rain for 90 minutes straight and the jacket kept me very dry. The jacket is not for cold freezing weather but it will keep you warm enough if it's in the 40+ degree weather. The little longer length of the jacket is nice and it looks good on, it's not too heavy a jacket and it's easy to wear.

As soon as my husband tried it on, he found that one side of the drawstring had not been stitched down. Rather than go through the hassle of returning the jacket, he took it to our local tailor to re-stitch it.

This is a rain jacket with removable hood. Quality is not bad for the price. One thing of note, the body of the jacket is straight and not tapered. Purchased a small size and it seems slightly longer in the body than pictured. My 11 year old son likes it. Not sure about durability as we just received it.

Good quality jacket. The zipper is on the wrong side and the zipper is incredibly frustrating. I'm almost certain it's on the jacket backwards and it's difficult to get zipped every time.
