Colorful and detailed appliques
These are very detailed patches with extended beaks, legs, tree limbs, etc. I ironed them on only for placement but would not use them on clothing without stitching them in place. The iron on adhesive may be enough for a display banner or something similar that does not get heavy use but I recommend sewing whenever possible.There is no satin stitch border around the edges so I had to use invisible thread so that the stitching would not be seen going through the design. I am happy with the result which looks very much like the embroidery is directly on the item.I use a lot of patches on the dog dresses that I make and these are the right size for that and quite colorful.
