This appears to be a modification of the OEM part, A 222 817 05 15 , replacement lighted star in distronic fashion.What this means: The "Distronic" bit is how the star appears on cars with the Distronic function. It's flat to allow the smart cruise control sensors to work through the star. This star woudl not actually work with distronic since the sitronic unit needs to sit directly in back of the star, but it gives your car the appearance of a distronic equipped car AND it lights up! Way cooler.Appearance: The star is incredibly cool looking, the star itself appears to be 3 dimensional, but it's actually flat.Everything about the star is high quality. There are no instructions, but most people hook this up to the DRL's via a fuse tap.Applicability:The problem is, at least for GLA owners without Distronic, that it will not fit. If your original star twists off, this star will not work for you. If your original star pops off, this is the star for you. See the images.If would have been helpful for the back of the star to be shown in the details, thus this review.Pros:- High quality- Would make a great replacement for a C-classCons:- Does not fit the standard GLA 250 grill.Recommendation: Find out how to remove the star from your specific car. If it pops out, you're good. If it twists out, this is not the star for you.

This illuminated MB star emblem was easy to install and looks great in the grill of my 2018 MB C300. The tri-star is clearly illuminated and is visible in daylight as well as darkness. The visibility of this emblem in both daylight and darkness is superior by far to that of the emblems that only outline the tri-star. That said, this review is preliminary; I had purchased previously from another seller a similar MB grill emblem that proved disappointing. Within a month of installation that earlier emblem developed a series of highly visible cracks in the clear plastic of the emblem. I am hoping that the this MB emblem is an improved 2.0 version of that earlier emblem and will not develop similar cracks. I will be back in a month so to update this review.

For my c-300 w205 2018. The LED emblem for MB item X002E48TJP dystronic light arrived at my house then realized that the size it’s same then my project finally became a reality. My idea from the original emblem cut the adge with a dremel smoth out the the part that was cut off. With Led part I did cut off the clip with everything sand it out clean the the part with alcohol. The I used Epoxy to glued both part the light and the emblem. Wait 3 days to the glue to cured. Now my light still a twist like the original. I love it.

Very blue led. The shipping is about 1 month for arrival. I love the baby blue color. Does not look like oem.
