STAR WARS BY JASON AARON OMNIBUS Hardcover – February 26, 2019

This book is a nice addition to the movies!! And fits with my Star Wars collection very nice gang!!! I enjoy sitting and reading thru it at night after the kids go to bed!!!

Absolutely love what they are doing with Star Wars comics I just wish that they would come out with a volume 2 that covers 38-75. Seems a little ridiculous not to have a continued collection from a run that ended in 2019.

A great read. The printing and binding was perfect. Delivered to me without and issues in perfect condition.

Don't be fooled; it's a huge volume! Rather than collecting tons of comics to enjoy this great story, this is the way to go! Might seem expensive but it's worth it!

I find myself at the center really of the Star Wars fandom right now. I don't hate everything Disney has done with the property since buying Lucasfilm in 2012. Nor do I love everything they've done either as a lot of it has been frankly terrible. This series is one of the things I've liked. It marked the return of Star Wars to Marvel Comics, having been the first company to produce comics based on the films decades ago. Thor: God of Thunder writer Jason Aaron was chosen to helm the series and he truly manages to bring the core Star Wars characters back into the spotlight while introducing some new ones. Aaron is responsible for most of the content in this collection, excluding some crossover and annual issues which showcase other notable Marvel talent of the time. The series also boasts an impressive array of artists though far too many to go into specifics. This is my first time reading the series in full and I have to say I really enjoyed it even if it took me awhile to get through. There is a lot about the series that reads like fan-fiction but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The only question is if you can believe the events in the book took place between the movies or not and I think you can. Aaron perfectly recaptured the iconic performances you know and love and it makes for a great series. I will say that as an omnibus there could have been more extra content but there's still a decent amount. Mainly a ton of variant covers plus an interview with the writers behind the rebooted Star Wars line. A solid collection if you can get your hands on it.4/5

This Comic is very good on Showing Luke's journey from a farm boy to Jedi knight.

The first couple story arcs, and especially the very first with Cassaday's art, are just peak Star Wars. Everything I would want out of a story set between episodes 4 and 5. The characterization is great, Luke's journey to learn more about the Jedi without a teacher is fascinating and fun, and all of the art is just pitch perfect. The Vader Down crossover is one of the best Star Wars stories told in the Disney era. As it goes on though, the energy fades and the art starts to take on a weird photoshopped quality, as though the actor based characters just had screenshots from the films copied onto their faces. Overall though, the early stuff is so good that I'm very happy to have this book added to my collection.

1143 pages. Oh yeah. And they're really good pages too, the art is excellent and stories are really fun.Note - even though Amazon is selling Vol 1, Vol 2, and Vol 3 alongside this, you don't need to get those - this volume contains all of them!

Item came on time fully wrapped. The binding of the omnibus is excellent. Colours of the pages crisp. A must for all star wars fans.

Thoroughly enjoyed this run. Definitely enjoyed it a lot more than that time I missed the nail and hit my hand with a hammer. It was also better than that time I ran into a parked car with my bicycle. Definitely worth a read.

Brilliant omnibus. These stories feel like genuine "Star Wars" and much more authentic than the recent movies (pity this writer couldn't have been enlisted for the film's). The art, meanwhile, is just sublime. Quite European in style and richly detailed, often reminding me of Heavy Metal or the best of the early 2000AD.
