The Koren Mesorat HaRav Siddur, A Hebrew/English Prayer Book with Commentary by Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik (Hebrew and English Edition)

Although the book is well made and in great condition I was very disappointed to see when I opened it it was Askenazi I am from a family of Ladino Separdic family by way of Spain and Turkey this won't do. Update: I was dissappointed but having to use it until I could replace it, it does flow well I would recommend this to anyone needing a new siddur.

Koren's layout and fonts are amazing and the book is well-bound. Sack's translations are excellent as one would expect, and it flows with the Tefilah. Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik's commentary is really what makes this unique, and the introduction by Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein is excellent. The commentary comes from an explicitly Modern Orthodox perspective and will displease many Haredi, but anyone who would be displeased would know that anyway. Another interesting thing is that the mourner's kaddish has transliteration, while most of the siddur follows Koren's translation with original Hebrew formatting, I suspect is a way to ease the burden on native English speaking mourners.

Beautiful layout by Koren, wonderful translation by Rabbi Sacks, and the Rav commentary place this OU Siddur alongside the RCA Avodat Halev and the RCA Artscroll edition for scholarship and ease of use.

1. It's one of the only Siddurim where you don't have to keep going back and forth during the service. The flow of the book follows the flow of Tefilah.2. The Rav's comments are so beautiful and to the point.3. Koren's typeface communicates the feeling of davening as a modern traditional Jew.

This new siddur has excellent commentary and a clear type style for that part which is in Hebrew. The English translations are clear and meaningful.

This siddur has commentary, valid translations, attractive font.If a "but," thin paper. A good addition to any Siddur library.

This is a good book what I find bothersome is the small font and thereby I sold my copy of this book. If they came out with larger font size I would probably buy it.
