Greetings from Belleville, New Jersey: Collected writings

If you were in your teens in Belleville, N.J. during the 60's you will probably enjoy this. I did, even though the authors experiences were quite different then my own, the descriptions brought back nostalgia for those days nontheless. Good voice throughout.

An easy read book with some great photos of the history of Belleville NJ

Even if you're not familiar with this town and/or state, you'll enjoy reading, "Greetings from Belleville, New Jersey"! If you grew up in the 50's & 60's, you'll understand the fun we had! If you didn't grow up back then, you'll wish you did when you read this book! It's a well written book that takes you back to the good ole'days! As you read, you'll feel as if you grew up in Belleville as Anthony Buccino describes the town, the people in it and the fun had by all! Belleville was a great place to grow up, I was lucky to be a part of it, and Gless Avenue was our home! We were one big family and most of us still keep in touch with one another! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Buccino manages to use words that illustrate universal stories from his life in Belleville. His memories are not unique to Belleville; every town may have their own special places but from community to community people will relate to his simple way of describing a snapshot in time. I highly recommend it as it provides a glimpse into a town not far from NYC and yet a world apart. This book, and Buccino's others are filled with humor, nostalgia and everyday life.

I recently found this book and growing up in Belleville in the 1950s and 1960s I found that Mr. Buccino and I had many shared experiences. I bought the kindle edition to read on a recent flight and I could not put it down. Highly recommended.

I grew up in Belleville N.J. and this book took me back in time and walked me down much beloved streets. So many memories. Thanks Anthony for a wonderful look back.

Could not have been a better scenario described about the this era, place, and people. "Greetings" is the best book out there for reminiscing about old Belleville.

A must have for anyone who grew up in Belleveille and the surrounding area. A bit of nastalgia and an easy read.
