Great Stuff
Yeah, it hurts when you apply, but only for a few moments. Sure beats a cut or wound that hurts for hours or days. Just man up a tiny bit and slap the stuff on. Dries in a few minutes and leaves a tough layer of protection that stays on for days. We've been using this stuff for years, and have given up on adhesive bandages, which fall off quickly and offer only very crude protection.By the way, though the product is described as 0.45 oz, the container I received from American Wholesale was twice as large. Your mileage may vary, but I feel like I got a great deal.

Great
This is a great product. It works very well for cuts on the arm, leg, or foot. It can sting a little when you put it on, so watch out! But then it does the job, protecting the wound and helping it heal. The only caveat is that is tends not to work on cuts on the hand -- I find that within an hour or two, the movement of my hand has made the coating flake off. But for any other part of the body, it works very well. I will also note that I have had this bottle over a year, and it lasts a while without the liquid drying out.

Caution on kids' cuts- it really hurts!
First, this is the next best product for making a nice flexible bandage layer other than the professional ones I use in the Emergency Dept (IE, Dermabond) But, unlike the others, it hurts a lot (likely due to the alcohol solvent). When I used it on my 3 year old's cut, she screamed for 15 mins after I applied it. Then, last night that I tried it on my own small superficial cut. I thoroughly agree that with her, it was incredible painful for about 15 minutes. And, given its nature, I don't think you can really wash it off once it starts hurting. Unfortunate for such a great product. Be careful, maybe it is best for cuts after 24hrs, when they have already started to seal off and then it would not hurt too much

This Works Great!
I have problems with the skin cracking near my fingernails - it is SO painful anytime I get my hands wet. I put a layer or two of Skin Shield on and it is as if there was no crack there at all! It lasts and lasts through countless times of putting my hands in water - even when washing dishes in hot soapy water. This is a fantastic price on a nice large bottle. I bought two - one for upstairs and one for downstairs. You really cannot go wrong with this product!

great
smells like clear nail polish when it is wet, dries quickly, lasts long. This is definitely not like applying crazy glue or 3m's hospital version that seals you up instantly, but it works pretty damn well for peanuts. If you cut yourself and planned on using a regular bandaid just to cover the spot then this is for you.instructions say reapply and blah blah, i apply it once and keep it on for a few days until it peels off or cracks. you dont even notice it is there.

Skin shield
This is a wonderful invention. During the winter I get deep cracks on the edges ofseveral fingers cuticles which are very painful. Bandaids will not stay in place due tofrequent hand washing. This is wonderful solution. Just paint it on(also has an antiseptic). There is a slight stinging if the wound is open but worth it since once the air is kept outthe pain is eliminated and wound begins to heal. Also good for foot blisters!

Favorite liquid bandage for sealing paper cuts, scratches and small wounds
I've been using Skin Shield for a few years. I love it for paper cuts, scratches, and small wounds, especially where there's not a lot of stress on the wound. I get these small cuts fairly regularly (and they heal quickly once Skin Shield is applied), so I'm very grateful for it. My only disappointment is when I get splits on my fingertips (frequent during the winter months), the splits keep re-opening even with Skin Shield applied (Bandages get in the way when I'm on the computer or doing dishes). This is still my favorite liquid bandage.
