The Stealth Operator Compact is the ultimate low-profile, low-print, concealed-carry holster. Its unique, half-body design brings the weapon tight against the waist, and provides a secure fit for many weapon models (see rear packaging for details), without compromising retention. This ultra slim holster yields an almost imperceptible print with handguns of almost any frame size, which makes it perfect for concealed carry on the waist with whatever you choose to carry. The designer of the Stealth Operator holster series, Will Carson, drew on his experience as a law enforcement officer to create this nearly perfect, highly concealable holster series. Numerous operators have subjected the Stealth Operator series to the harshest type of field testing - real world ops. Fits Handgun Models: Glock (All Models; Stealth Operator Compact fits G34/35); Taurus (840, 24/7, 609, PT92, 809); Ruger (SR Series, P95); S&W (Sigma Series, M&P, P99), Springfield (XD, XDM); H&K (P30); Beretta (PX4, 92, 96, 90/2); Sig (P224, P226, P229).

It's A Mystery (in a good way)
Baffling. It's the mystery holster. First of all let me say that I have enough holsters around the house to open a holster boutique. Every morning I would spend more time selecting a holster than most women do selecting the day's jewelry. Then I purchased this holster. It is indeed a mystery. It holds my firearm closer to my body (a very good thing) better than any other holster I own, except for my IWB holsters (which require the purchase of pants one size too big). It conceals better than any holster I own, including my IWB holsters. But here's the baffling part: I generally carry either a Taurus PT111 G2 or a SCCY PCX1. Two very different pistols. I also own a Walther PK380 which I occasionally carry. This holster fits all three of those firearms like it was made specifically for them. No wobble or rattling, not too loose and not too tight. Each gun "clicks" into place perfectly. A firm tug and it's removed. There are only two minor inconveniences to the Phalanx Operator. First, because it's a hard shell holster with a nice curve to contour to your body, it's a bit difficult to thread a belt through the loops, especially if the belt is thick and stiff. Secondly, the edges are a bit sharp. You don't want to wear this holster without a shirt underneath it, unless you like seeing red lines on your love handles. Those two minor things aside, this is a great holster.

Pleasantly surprised!
I was truly surprised by this holster.Measuring across the front face, it's 6 1/4" wide x 3 1/4" high. It has a slight curve to fit on your hip and a (like the pic indicates) forward cant. This sucker can hold different brands/models of sidearms. I use it for a full size M&P9.After taking it to the range, I borrowed a couple weapons and slid them in to see if they would hold. They did! A Taurus PT24/7, G27, 1911 5", TP9SA, M&P9 Compact and a XD9 all fit well.I really don't care for the forward cant, but it works well when worn in the 4 o'clock position. (prefer zero cant at 3 o'clock)Hey, if you have several medium to large frame semi-auto sidearms and don't want to buy a holster for each one, give this holster a try.I can't tell you I would buy another one, because this fits multiple sidearms.Update: I did end up buying a second one and I'll explain why.I stored my M&P 9C in the holster and discovered something when I used it for my Kahr.(FYI- The Kahr is a single stack and is thinner than the M&P 9C)The holster expanded and stayed slightly wider due to the wider pistol being kept in it.It still held the Kahr, but not quite as tightly. I occasionally shoot local IDPA matches and I could feel a difference when the Kahr came out easier than the M&P.So, if you only want to buy one, do not store any sidearm in the holster.Otherwise, buy two. One for single stacks and one for double stacks.

Great for carry winter months and/or for those who wear undershirts 24/7
Rough around the edges (literally), and lacking a sweat shield (why, oh, WHY does almost every OWB holster maker refuse to include this?), it's not perfect by any means. However, it does fit pretty much everything I've poked in there - from as small as a Glock 43 or M&P Shield all the way up to a Glock 40 MOS and FNX-45. I only use OWB carry in winter months when I can throw a coat or jacket over, and I have my shirt between my side and the gun, so the lack of a sweat shield isn't as critical now, but this prevents me from using it in warmer months (especially here in AZ) because I don't want to get sweat all over my carry guns and I don't like having their rough features act like a cheese grater against my ribs.Expect to spend a couple of minutes going over the whole thing with some fine sandpaper or emery cloth to get rid of the rough edges, especially at the top of the holster and around the belt loops, lest you chew up your fingers/knuckles when drawing or holstering and make nasty cuts or wear marks on your carry belt. If this cost any more than it does, and especially if it only fit one or a couple of pistol models, this would be a much bigger gripe, but consider what you're getting here for the money.Still, once you get it smoothed over, it's all gravy. Doesn't cost a fortune and fits darn near every fighting pistol out there (within reason), with solid retention that isn't crazy-tight. I just wish I could say the same for their other OWB holster model that DOES have the sweat shield, as that thing is WAY too tight on even a Glock 26 or 19 and has a closed muzzle end that really limits what it will fit.

This holster is awesome!!!
I bought this holster several months ago and I would have to say that I am absolutely in love with it. I don't want to sound like a salesman but for the price of it you won't be able to find a better deal out there. When I read the description on the manufacturer's website (http://www.phalanxsystems.com/stealth-operator-holster-compact.php) I was skeptical when they claimed that this holster would fit so many different models of handguns but after trying it out for myself, I've found that it is completely true. This is an awesome holster at a great price for anyone wanting something they can carry every day.If you do decide to buy this holster, when you first try it out the pistol will be very hard to pull out of the holster. This is completely normal. Being that they made this holster for so many different models of handguns the form might be a little tight on your particular model for a while. I would suggest wearing the holster around your house and placing your pistol in it (UNLOADED), frequently drawing and reholstering your weapon for maybe a day or two. This will relax the material on the holster and make it much easier to draw without binding up. For example, my primary carry weapon is a 40 cal. Taurus 24/7 compact. When I first got the holster, this pistol bound up more times than not. However, when I placed my FNP 40 cal. full size pistol in it (which is almost impossible to find a holster for), drawing it was smooth as butter. After a couple days of drawing and reholstering my Taurus, it performs flawlessly now.

Fitment
I have three different sized pistols, two of which are clones of guns mentioned to fit, both of which did not.Norinco NP22 - Sig P226 clone, the slide is too wide and won't fit in the holster to seat deep enough to cover the trigger guard. FailNorinco NP29 - 5" 1911 Clone, pistol fits in the holster, but it is not retained when the rig is inverted. Being a thin Kydex, I believe I could gently heat it and reform it a bit to retain the pistol. And finally, I just picked up a Bersa Thunder .22 (think slightly bigger Walther PPK) with a threaded barrel (and thread protector). Strangely enough, this small pistol both fits and is retained by this holster. It was not listed on the fitment chart.Overall a little disappointed as I meant this to be a good universal option for holstering at the range. I can't carry up here. Considering this was only $40 CDN and it fits one of my pistols, I'll give it a 3 star review. Construction seems decent, the kydex was a little scuffed up despite Amazon's overkill packaging. I was really hoping this would work for the 1911 and NP22.

Fits a Berreta APX
Holster fits the Beretta APX, it's a tight fit but it's secure. The only issue is the takedown pin catches on the holster when holstering since it's so tight. I filed the holster very slightly only enough to give it an angle where the takedown pin was catching. Now it's slides in much more easily. Overall, the holster does what it's supposed to do.

Überzeugt
Ich hatte meine Zweifel. Aber inzwischen habe ich mich verliebt, alles außer 1911er passt wunderbar.
