Worked well
This was not the easiest to set up, but it was manageable and when complete, worked very well. It should last for years, too.

Ask for the fine print!
When I looked at this product there were a few reviews that mentioned that it can leak. Note that the original link seems to have disappeared, and there are only glowing reviews on a this new listing. After ordering I got the mail below once the thing shipped. The stand came in late, and the company accepted a return - but given the size the shipping would cost half of the value of the stand. This is what I got - decide yourself if you want to buy this.Mail from "SAFE CHRISTMAS PRODUCTS"Thanks for your recent purchase of the 3 Brace Standtastic. While the 3 Brace system stands the tree exceptionally well there have been several reports of stress cracks in the bowl that cause leaks of water from the bowl. We feel that this possibly could be caused by the weight of the tree as it is TILTED UP. In the instructions we recommended the “TILT UP” method to make it easier to handle the big Christmas tree installation, however it appears that this method puts too much stress on the bowl possibly causing the cracks to occur.IF YOU HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO PUT YOUR TREE UP: DO NOT ATTEMPT THE “TILT UP” TECHNIQUE INCLUDED IN THE 3 BRACE STANDTASTIC INSTRUCTIONS. FOLLOW ALL OTHER SET UP INSTRUCTIONS AND SET UP THE 3 BRACE STAND WITH THE BOWL ON THE FLOOR THEN GET A HELPER TO HELP YOU LIFT THE TREE AND PLACE IT IN THE STAND, HOLD AS STRAIGHT AS POSSIBLE AND THEN ATTACH THE BRACES.IF YOUR TREE WEIGHS MORE THAN 150 LBS. PLACE A PIECE OF ½” PLYWOOD 1’ X 1’ UNDER THE CENTER OF THE BOWL TO MINIMIZE THE “TRAMPOLINE” EFFECT THAT MAY ALSO POSSIBLY CONTRIBUTE TO STRESS CRACKING.Before you start decorations, pour in enough water to check for leaks. If there are no leaks then you can decorate and enjoy your Christmas. If you have set your tree up and the bowl is leaking please contact me at [e-mail address removed] or 832 618 0371 for a resolution.

Best Stand There is, but plastic...
That is all you need, it works, it is very easy to put the tree in and it holds huge trees. I had an 18 footer in here one year with three cats in the house, no problems at all.Update, after a few uses the plastic is just not up to the task of large trees. I have broken two now, time to build my own.

I recommend the product
This was somewhat difficult to get attached to the tree, but the tree was stable. The tree would not fall over which was what I was looking for. So putting this in context, it would be more of a problem to clean up after a tree fell over, then to attach the stand. I recommend the product.

Finally, a Christmas Tree Stand that Really Works as Advertised!
I've been putting up christmas trees for 30 years now and had numerous stands. Most are terrible and unreliable. I bought this stand and it BY FAR the BEST stand. Very strong, stable and easy to use. I am glad I made the purchase

Cheap
It is large but that is the only heavy duty about this. The braces use nylon drive rivets to hold the brackets. Cheap! Can't imagine trying to get a tree Straight.
