I am a huge fan of twilight and have the entire companion guides but this is much better!It has so much detail on how the film was shot! It goes into detail on how takes were shot such as the van shot where Edward saves Bella. It also shows sketches of how outfits were drafted and then chosen as with the locations. It has so much detail and sketches as well as lovely pictures. It is the directors notebook, she comes across as very down to earth and puts alot of detail in this notebook!If your a fan of twilight its a perfect companion to have.Its brilliant!Please rate my review as helpful :)

Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the movie interpretation of Stephenie Meyer's famous 'Twilight' novel, has written this director's notebook brilliantly. Her natural humour shines through in this witty, enlightening, interesting and very informative book (that is also great for anyone interested in the general movie process). The pictures that fill the pages of this scrapbook/notebook style novel are of stunning quality, many of which are backstage shots that capture the unseen fetaures of movie making. This book covers the intricate stages of costume designing, to how many shots it took to fit the Twilight novel's iconic, apple front cover into a scene of the film. A one hundred percent reccommended buy that is great for either reading in a few days or dipping in and out of to find out facts and snippets of info that will impress the Twilight Saga Club! FOR THOSE BARGAIN HUNTERS: I bought this book from another company through Amazon. They are what's called 'fulfilled by Amazon'. Basically, they send all their products to the Amazon warehouses, and then get Amazon to handle the delivery and returns. Their products are entitled to super-saver delivery (free!), yet are sold at the company's price. This meant I was able to get this book a bit more cheaply than the Amazon rate, but with all the benefits of super-saver delivery and trustworthy Amazon. Go near the Amazon price chart by the product, and click 'buy new from £...' - go from there! It wis of flawless quality, and perfectly new. Enjoy! Absolutely brilliant! As an aspiring filmmaker and huge Twilight fan since I was 11, this is everything I dreamed of and more! I recommend this to any Twilight fans. It goes into detail of Hardwicke's thought process creating the movie, drawings and notes. Absolutely amazing! BUY!

I have bought this for my 11yr old Twilight mad daughter. I had a flick through and it is really interesting, especially for a Twilight movie fan. It documents various techniques used in the first film. It shows set design, costume design and has fun little direct notes and loads of photos throughout. My daughter loved that it explained how they filmed the 'top of the tree' scene!

This is a really nice keepsake for all Twilight fans, whilst it isn't full of tons of information or gossip, or in fact reading, it is still a nice keepsake to have. The drawings are really good and there are lots of really interesting little facts in there from Catherine and some great photos.It comes in hardback and is about the size of an average notepad/book.A very good buy overall which adds to my evergrowing Twi collection!
