A Classic book having strong mathematical rigor. Not an easy read. Excercises are coceptual.Background in Analysis, Calculus, proof writing,algebra needed to study the book in detail. Takes time to complete each chapter but is enjoyable.

A cheap abridged version of the original.
This cheap version lacks the preface , the last(16th) chapter and the original contents page. Other than that, the rest of the book is the same as that of the original (US) version.

Excellent introduction
Book is an introduction to abstract algebra. Does not create clutter by giving unnecessary details. Worth a read for someone trying to dip their toes in the field of algebra.

Great book for Abstract Algebra. Gives a nice geometric view. However this is excellent as a graduate text.

Does have all the chapters.
There are 16 chapters in global second edition of the book. In this book are only 15 chapters and the 16 chapter on Galois theroy is removed.
