Beautiful book with a wonderful abundance of different poems.

I have long wanted to add poetry to our morning time, but have never loved it myself. This book has such beautiful poems that are rhythmic and lovely. It also contains excerpts of popular poems and texts. Wonderful addition to our library and morning time!

We are a homeschooling family, and we have been able to use so many of these poems to supplement and enhance our learning experience! We try to learn at least one poem a week by heart, and then we've used several for other lessons. The math and number poems are simply amazing and work perfectly with teaching young children the quality of numbers, the rhythm of times tables, and the fun of math functions. Seriously. :)

This is a beautiful book full of treasures. It will take you through all the subjects, all the seasons, all the grades. Essential to Waldorf homeschoolers! Can’t recommend highly enough!

This book has a great variety of poems, from early childhood fairy-tale poems and rhymes, to epic poems and Shakespearean sonnets. It can truly take you from kindergarten through high school and into adulthood. The only reason I knocked it down to four stars is that I think it would be better if it had more pieces from around the world, and wasn't so Euro-centric. Otherwise, it's perfect. I definitely recommend getting the hardcover version, as it's a book you'll want to keep for a long time, and the cover is beautiful.

This book is full of beautiful poetry to spark the imagination! I am completely smitten with this collection of poems. I highly recommend this book for Waldorf studies or not. They're just lovely!

Love this book! First bought one for myself, liked it so much I bought a second for a neighbor who homeschools. Had a friend come to visit and she also fell in love with it so I just purchased a 3rd to give her as a birthday gift. A diverse collection of poetry for all ages.

This is by far the best collection of poetry I've ever read - ever! It contains all of the traditional waldorf verses we've heard before, and an amazing collection of magical poems that are new to me. My daughters love hearing and reciting poems from this book, and I love to simply sit and browse through it. If I need a verse for any reason at all I know I will find just the right one in these pages. Bravo!
