They work for the Ren fair. Didn’t seem uncomfortable but the fabric is not smooth. It has a somewhat thin and somewhat rough texture. Didn’t notice so much when wearing but to the touch it’s not silky or smooth.

The Short:Glad I ordered these. They were a very good price and shipped to my door in 2 days exactly as pictured.The Long:I am 6'-1 225 lbs 36" waist. I ordered the XXL and it fit exactly as I was hoping. Stays up by itself and has enough room (slack if you will) to run around in them.The material is good, and stitched well, it is a little thin and depending on the color you get, maybe even slightly see-through.I got the brown ones, and that was luckily not the case. The browns ones I can confirm are a bit thin, but not see-through.These are made to be worn with boots. They do not go down to the floor, but stop about an inch up from my feet with a 32" inseam. This is exactly what I wanted and was expecting.The reason for the lacing, besides the medieval aesthetics of it, is to be tied tight to fit inside of boots. Inside, not outside. They are not wide enough to fit on the outside of your boots.These are light but in a good way, perfect for running around Ren-Fest on a hot summer day as they are light enough to catch a bit of breeze and stay comfortable all day.For the price, I definitely recommend, Hope that helps!

I'm a size 38 waist, 34 inseam, 6'1" tall so I thought I would need the XL. After reading the reviews I took a chance on the XXL and they fit perfectly. The drawstrings allow cinching up the waist comfortably, and they are the perfect length, going to just at my ankle. They look great and are comfortable to wear all day!

Fit is fine. Color is a little brighter then expected, but I figured it would be a bit different. However, they came in damaged. I've added pictures to show the damage.

Very satisfied with material and fit. Dissatisfied with small area of apparent splatter stain? (Small dots of hypopigmentation). Did not have time to exchange due to an upcoming event, so decided to keep it since I was otherwise happy with product.

Pleased with the quality of these pants with calf laces. Exactly what we needed for a ren faire. Feels like real fabric, not a costume. We will get a ton of wear at costume events until he outgrows them.

Overall the pants are as advertised however the cuff above the lacing on the legs at mid calf need to be included in in sizing chart. Unfortunately I found this out too late as they are a few inches smaller then me legs.

My only complaint is this fabric is likely to rip if it snags on anything. The pants fit fine - very comfortable to wear, will work nicely even in the summer heat and high humidity here. The laces for the legs were loose in the package - no problem, as I know how to lace these up. Laces are cut a bit long, but that allows you to adjust how they're tied if you need to. Fabric is a light handkerchief-weight cotton, in black.Expect a bit of shrinkage and fading with first few washings. Overall, I am VERY PLEASED with this purchase. These pants almost feel like you've got nothing on at all. Great to wear tucked into a pair of boots, or over the tops of a pair of shoes like wearing gaiters. Very easy to move in them, roomy enough to do lunges(sword fighting) in without discomfort, but they do not look baggy. I really like this style, and intend to purchase more soon.

Fits well. A little difficult getting use to the leg laces
