Askwind Women's Off Shoulder Short Sleeve Lace Maternity Gown Maxi Photography Dress

I actually had a hard time deciding how to rate this dress. My expectations of quality were low, but seeing the good reviews I thought it was worth a shot. Well, and when you decide to elope with 6 days to plan you have limited choices on a dress.The flowers that came with it I didn't use, they could be a nice prop for a maternity shoot, but the oversized flowers on my forehead aren't my cup of tea. As for the dress, it's cheap, and thin (like stated in the description so it wasn't a surprise that it was fairly transparent) and when I held it up after pulling it out of the package, I was...underwhelmed. Then I put it on and it seemed slightly better. So I figured I would grab my backless, strapless nude sticky bra to see how it looked. It should be noted that this would be the only kind of bra you could really wear with the dress as the upper back is just lace as are the off the shoulder sleeves.The sides of the dress where it attaches to the bust of the dress do pull at the seams a bit if you're going for that criss cross off the shoulder look. It didn't bother me much as it still covered my sticky bra, but it is worth noting. It wasn't as fitted as I want it to be (I would have bought an extra small versus a small if it had been an option) but I am also only 5 months pregnant and was tall and thin before pregancy. So I ended up sewing up the side seams in just the torso panel to take it in four inches and make it more fitted. That was the game changer for me. It is a much more attractive dress as long as it fits snugly through the torso and hips. The dress went from looking a bit like a sack on me to an actual maternity dress. While the fabric feels a little cheap, it really was pretty in person and looked good in our pictures!Also, because I'm a cheap person and didn't want to find a fitted, nude slip that would go from under my bra down to my thighs, I ended up buying a super cheap nude tank top from Walmart and cutting the top of and wearing that over my belly and hips. Without it my belly button and underwear would have shown through the dress but worked really well in a pinch and cost less than $2.00. It might have been worse though because this dress is white and could potentially be better in the colored dresses. I should also note I'm 5'8" and in 3"-4" heels it was exactly floor length on me. If you wanted to trim the bottom off though it would be just a matter of cutting it as it is an unfinished edge and the lace doesn't unravel.All in all my first impression of the dress was that it could hardly pass for a three star rating, but I actually really ended up liking it and think it looked like five stars in the pictures but needed to knock a star off for the quality of it.

It’s beautiful I’m 5’9 240lbs 7.5 months, I ordered the XL I was so scared that it wasn’t going to fit. It hugs all the right places and it’s not too long I can see my toes a little longer in the back. The material feels amazing. I’ll post a picture soon. It came with a beautiful floral belts.

Love this dress. Fits exactly how it’s decribed. I wants a cheaper dress for maternity pictures, just in case it got muddy etc. it fits awesome.

Very comfortable dress. No zippers, just slips on over head. The top back is a bit see-through.The flower headband is a bonus and easy to use, but it did smell a bit odd straight out of the package.

I had to air the dress out for about a week after receiving because it (and the flower band) smelled like FISH! Once I did, I got great use out of the dress for maternity pics and my baby shower. The stitching along the neckline was a bit messed up and didn't lay flat, but I'd say it was still worth the price I paid.

Really cute dress it fit me great, the length is perfect for me, I'm 5'9'. The only complaint I have is that it is a little see through so I will have to wear a slip with it but I don't care.

Worn for about an hour for pictures. Ripped at the seam in that amount of time- looked good but disappointing quality. Would do for a photo shoot- but I don’t recommend to wear for anything else in fear it would rip.

Looks beautiful on my daughter! Ordered a small and fits to size at 5 months pregnant. Might have to order larger size for baby shower at 8 months!
