Fits well
This product fits well and all the holes lined up correctly. Gave my palm sander a new lease on life. Very happy with the purchase and I would highly recommend it.

Not exact fit for B04550 sander
A good replacement pad, but not an exact fit for a Makita palm sander B04550. Outer dimensions are good, mounting holes do not align. I had to add four new holes which worked great for this application. Great option if original pad is not available.

Worked fine.
I have an older Makita 1/4 sander that needed a new pad. I knew I would have to drill different holes for the 4 screws to attach to the base. Did that and it attached fine.

The pads have large grooves in them
The pads have large grooves on the sides and across the tops, making them illogical to use as replacements to old pads needing to be replaced because they have worn edges and grooves. They look as though they are being stored in stacks with banding around the stacks such that whatever unit is at the top of the stack ends up with compressed edges and lines across the top from the bands. I gave the first unit a week to see if the rubber pad would "relax" back to being flat. It did not. They replacement I got for it was even worse, looking like two bands were used on the stack this one came from.
