Great price easy to set up and works well

This dongle isn't a dramatic boost but it does improve internet , downloads ,buffering and browsing are faster with it but I noticed download speeds are still painfully slow for me. It improves range of internet this is what it does best and it prob won't do much to improve a wifi connection that is already close to the main wifi hotspot. I do find videos online are faster to load with it , I do manage to get a signal in my garden (which is new) and I do find I lose connection online less. . For windows 10 just put it into usb go to where you connect to the internet and you will see "wifi 2" click it then go to the internet network option you use and it will connect. I feel it was worth the price due to my ultra poor internet at home and useful for the many low range public internet networks I try to reach on my mini gpd laptop when traveling so maybe it won't be worth the price for everyone but those with poor internet range or with no current working wifi card this is great.

In Windows 10 the installation went smoothly, and the wireless adapter works well.In Windows Vista the installation also went smoothly, but Vista would not make a connection to my hub when I entered the required password. It would connect to my hub on an open unsecured network which did not require a password.

This item does not work properly with my intel i9 Win 10 machine, eventually you can get it working, but you have to restert the computer three or four times each time you turn your machine on, I have another wifi adapter that works flawlessly, this one needs you to de-activate and reactivate it numerous times in order for it to work, and even then it will drop out regularly. It seems to be the software that is the problem, when it's connected it works fine signal wise, so maybe with other operating systems it's fine, I would recommend buying another product though, as the software causes the windows network toolbar to crash regularly when it is plugged in, when unplugged it's fine.Also causes my focusrite external audio card to intermittenly drop out as well (works fine when it's not plugged in) so there are lots of issues with this product. I'll be using my other wifi adapter which I bought to replace this one, this one is going in the bin.

This product saved my life after cutting the cable that connected my office computer to broadband up stairs in work, Enable my desk top Computer to use Wi-fi , works wonderfully and no speed problems , bought a second on for home as lap top had a weak signal up stairs.

Not bad at all, also has a reasonable range but have struggled with using on Linux... works fine on windows

My son built his first gaming PC and we didn't trailing wires all over the house. Delivery was next day and very easy to open the packaging. The antenna screws into the USB without fuss. From there plugged into a spare USB port on the back of the PC and he is now enjoying fantastic speeds over wifi. Moreover there is very little in game lag. No need for any software configuration, plug and play at it's finest.Highly recommended

I was looking for one that would work with Linux and unfortunately, this did not work, but for windows, it works straight out of the box as the drivers are picked up automatically great product.

Works well after driver setup annoyance.The drivers that are linked for linux do not work on newer linux kernels because they depend an outdated API on older kernels. For Ubuntu 18.04 I found drivers on github, google "cilynx rtl88x2BU" , then follow the link for the newer version under "Newer version available!" (cannot link through amazon reviews). This driver is even easy to build and install, sometimes free drivers/software is a pain to install but they included the exact instructions you need to install on a basic install, no assumptions of previous knowledge if you can copy paste you're good to go. The driver works well for 5ghz but haven't bothered testing 2.4ghz since I don't really use it.Edit2: the bug I posted below hasn't shown in months, I think it was a driver issue that got fixed. No issues remain.Edit: there is one weird bug, not sure if driver, hardware, or linux is the cause, but sometimes in linux the wifi just goes down and won't come up, happens maybe once per three weeks. Reseating/cycling the usb connection fixes it though, and it's infrequent enough I haven't bothered trying to find the real cause of the issue.

Sehr einfache Installation, allerdings brauchte ich die beigefügte CD nicht, da ich vorher bereits einen ähnlichen Stick gekauft hatte, der aber nach nur 1 Jahr einfach nicht mehr funktionierte.Also, den Stick reingesteckt, er wurde erkannt und ich hatte WLAN.Eigentlich haben wir eine 100 MBit/s Leitung.Direkt am Router empfängt unser Laptop 85.000 per WLAN.Eine Etage höher im Büro schafft der PC, wo der Stick drinsteckt, 56.000.Das sind 10.000 mehr, als der alte geschafft hat, aber mein iPhone 8 schafft 65.000, alles gemessen mit "Ookla Speedtest".Allerdings steckt der Stick hinten im Tower, der auf dem Schreibtisch steht, und mit dem iPhone stehe ich noch vor dem Schreibtisch, also etwas näher zum Verstärker, und halte das Handy bei der Messung nicht hinter den Tower. Von daher dürfte ungefähr Gleichstand bei den beiden Messungen oben im Büro herrschen ;-) !Wir haben aber im Treppenhaus nen WLAN-Verstärker von "AVM, also Fritz-Repeater" dazwischen. Ohne den Verstärker schaffte der alte Stick nur 2.000.Somit ist dieser Stick hier auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen-vor allem für den Preis und daher sage ich: Volle 5 Sterne Kaufempfehlung.Allerdings bleibt es abzuwarten, wie lange dieser Stick hier hält. Ich hoffe, länger als 1 Jahr. Aber für den alten Stick haben wir das Geld von Amazon zurückbekommen, nachdem wir den alten Stick zurückgeschickt haben, er hatte ja 2 Jahre Garantie.
