I've been cutting my own hair my whole life, and I've learned that there is only one brand of barber equipment that I can trust, and that brand is WAHL! Every item (including this one) works well, is designed to be durable and will last you many many years if you take care of it. The trimmer is easy to use and is very easy to clean. The one I purchased is corded so I neber have to worry about battery life. The attachments fit perfectly and are easy to use. The adjustment capabilities are phenomenal and well....It does the job. It cuts smoothly every time and takes the hair down low to the skin. Almost razor close....but let's just face reality here....nothing will ever get as close to the skin as a razor will....but nothing else on the market will cut the hair this low like this trimmer will. That was my defining factor....how low it cuts and how clean the lining is....and you get the best of both worlds with this trimmer. I always get the corded versions because I've had the battery run out on me too many times before my hair was done being cut. Thats not acceptable to me....so just get the corded version and learn to adjust your skills to cutting with a cord....you won't be sorry in the long run. Overall I give this trimmer 5 stars and a perfect 10 outta 10 score in my book. And I'm NOT an easy critic. I love it's design and the carbon fiber look is pretty cool. Just got this from Amazon the other day. After years of using a battery trimmer (and shavers) I decided to go with pure electric and I'm glad I did. I had received another brand electric for less money but it got too hot after a few minutes use. This one is different in many ways. First, this is a well-made unit wih a nice, thick cord. The three cutters included are all finely ground and cut well. Also, all the attachments are useful for those who need them but I did find I'd only use some of them as I am fairly bald and won't be cutting much hair. I wouldn't recommend these to cut thick hair but they will do the job for just about everything. My main use of this will be for my mustache, beard, sideburns, eyebrows, and around the ears. This trimmer is reasonably quiet (they all make some noise). Also, it does not get even warm after several minutes use, and it is very easy to hold and lightweight. The 20-piece kit has everything, including a carrying case. The nice thing besides how it works is the fact it has a 5-year warranty. Others have one or two years. Of the dozens of things I've ordered from Amazon, this is already one of my favorites as it is just for me and I plan to use it a few times each week. The attachments can be a little confusing to install until you get the hang of it. It says use a drop or two of oil about every month (the oil is included), but my experience is about once a week...they seem to keep the blades sharper and last longer. You can buy light machine oil (like 3-in-1), mineral oil, or Wahl sells its own clipper oil. I like this and I am so happy I will never have to install and discard batteries again!

This review is for the corded type not the battery operated kind.Want to know the dumbest idea you were convinced to buy into in the history of male shaving and grooming? The idea that you NEED a battery operated facial trimmer. Even in the lowest income house or apartment there is an electrical outlet by your sink, or within the reach of the VERY ample cord this unit comes with. I'm not certain but it's like almost 6ft long (the cord).Batteries die - I know this because I too bought into the stupid idea that I NEEDED a battery operated trimmer. After the third $40-$60 trimmer I had purchased eventually bit the dust I started to wake up. Have you?This unit has as much power, maybe even a little bit more, than the comparable size battery trimmers I have had in the past. What it DOES need though, is a good sharpening before you commit to using it. And that's pretty easy to do. You pop off the head, separate the blades, and run the smooth sides over some 300 grit wet/dry sandpaper like you're lapping a CPU. Exactly the same way you sharpen hair clippers, only on a much smaller scale.Keep it oiled and clean and sharpen it once a year and you too will wonder how stupid and foolish you were to buy into the idea that battery trimmers were the only way to go. Laugh at your friends as they buy trimmer after trimmer and yours lasts for years and you can rest easy knowing that you are free from the burden of e-waste that their battery operated types create every 3 years or so.Obviously if you use your trimmer to make quick work of your shave by using it in the shower this unit is not for you.The blade heads pop off in a funny angle/direction, but once you get the hang of it it's easy. The guards are useful for trimming to a specific length, but honestly I only use like 3 of them. It's a matter of preference.I recommend this unit and others like it. The price was very affordable (for me $40 USD in Dec 2022), and you can feel confident that this unit will outlast other more expensive battery operated units easily, thus helping you 'get ahead'. And all yo have to do is be willing to treat it like a 'normal' clipper with maintenance and oil - and be willing to plug it in when you need to use it.

This item cannot be returned!!!Wahl has some great clippers and trimmers with very good quality and always had good experience.Bought this for beard trimming and styling. Poor quality blades. Blades easily come off when you try to the size guard from it. Hair easily go into the motor so can get damaged in future. Used it once and knew that this will not last long. Tried to return and found out that this product cannot be returned.Please save your money and buy something else.Always bought things from Amazon thinking that we can surety to return items if they are not good but probably not anymore. Read all small print before buying.

It Cuts Hair! Blades At Initial Use, Not Cutting As Close As I Was Hoping. Attachments Blades/Guides Somewhat Easy To Change. I Would Not Purchase This Model Again.
