Essential for post abdominal surgery of any kind
I ordered various compression garments for hernia repair and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) surgery. I ordered different sizes and different types and this was one of my favorites. I ordered these in black and in nude colors, and in XL, L, and M. The M size was the best fit for me. I didn't measure myself post surgery or after surgery, but I'm 5'1" and 130lbs. I did not like the other sizes because they didn't provide that really snug feeling you want to have after a surgery like that. The L and XL were much easier to get into, but they wouldn't have provided the support I needed, loose fitting is not the point of a compression garment. I loved that these ones had hooks all the way down and the crotch was also hooked flap, much like unhooking a bra, that made using the bathroom much easier, and the reason that I didn't end up using any of the other garments that were just a panty style that had to be pulled down- after a surgery that extensive, you are not going to want to pull anything down that you don't have to. They have boning going down the sides, which I would have liked to have gone down further, but that's really a small thing that doesn't make me want to search for another type of compression garment. My surgeon just casually mentioned that I might want to pick up some type of compression garment or abdominal binder for post surgery, but it wasn't a requirement and I think it should be. Abdominal surgery leaves you feeling very puffy and bloated, not to mention sore. The swelling and fluid retention before the drain was removed was very apparent, but after the drain was removed it was even more significant and very noticeable. When taking off the compression garments that were placed on directly after surgery by the surgery team, it feels like all of your insides are going to spill out, you will want to put on a compression garment as soon as possible. After the 72 hours of no showering was up, I had help taking a shower and while the water felt nice and I love the feeling of being clean, I couldn't wait to get it over with so I could put on my compression garments. It's been about 4 weeks since my surgery and I still am wearing them everyday, all day, sleeping included, except when I have to take a shower. My surgeon recommended that they be worn for about 3-6 months post surgery for the best results, but he also added that wearing them for 9-12 months after the surgery was a good idea as well. After going through extensive surgery like that, I have no wish to repeat it, so investing in compression garments and wearing them everyday for a year seems like a small price to pay.As far as garment care goes, I have only hand washed them in lukewarm water and rinsed them in cold water and laid them out flat to dry. I didn't want to test their durability by throwing them in a garment bag and into my wash machine on the hand wash cycle, maybe when I don't absolutely need to wear them I will try that out, but for now, it's worth taking the extra time to hand wash them. Although, don't mix the black and the nude colors when doing this, the dyes that come off of them are very noticeable in the wash water, so just wash the nude ones first and then the black ones.Overall, I really love these compression garments. I was happy with the fits and the colors. They provide so much support and are so comfortable that I don't mind having to wear them everyday. I loved them so much I purchased more so that I wouldn't have to hand wash them everyday. I would recommend these to anyone who is going to have surgery.

Great product @ a great price!
I am really happy with this purchase, it definitely works and is comfortable to wear. I am 5'9" and weigh 212 (as of the date of the picture) and I ordered the 2XL, I'm pretty sure I would have been okay with ordering the XL, but I didn't want it too tight. The FIRST image is a frontal view. I have it on the tightest eyelet, there are two rows of them. Be cautious when using the restroom, I did not wear panties and when you unhook the eyelets, the back side could easily fall into the toilet, or you could pee on it... So make sure to lift that area up high! LOLThe SECOND image is a rear view, I do think it gave my caboose a boost! See the FOURTH image for confirmation. The THIRD image is a profile view, believe me ladies it sucked the gut in pretty nicely, but not too tight! It smooths the muffin top. ;)The FOURTH image is a picture of me without the girdle in a tight fitting black dress and a picture of me with the girdle, I would say it definitely smoothed me out and boosted my caboose nicely! The picture speaks for itself! You cannot go wrong with ordering this product! It is a good value and works well.

Size down for me
I am 5’9 I can fit a medium however I usually wear large for comfort and length. Im a size 10 or 12 in dresses and can fit a 8 depending on the brand.I purchased a LARGE AND MEDIUM in this.. based on my dress size and measurement I should be a large. However I tried on a medium and I have no problem buckle it in and pulling it up (without breaking any sweats) I’m thinking of getting a small but I can feel the tightness at the very top.I have back problem and since I’m tall, I wanted to find something that can help me with my entire torso and lower hip. This one gives you shape BUT I don’t feel any differences for my front or back. I just feel like I’m wearing an extra layer? This might not be my size but I can say it’s comfortable to smooth out if you’re wearing a fitted dress and definitely for tall people. I’ll keep it for a night out …

Not for women with big bums and thick thighs
After reading many reviews I decided to give this product a try. I have had major back surgery so I needed something to help with my posture as well as hold my stomach. This ABSOLUTELY did wonders in that area. The material is great and holds the stubborn tummy area very well. After wrestling a bit with the hooks the waist area looked fabulous! I am 4' 11" and 182 lbs. I purchased a LARGE. It truly fit like a charm! It didn't roll down because the waist trainer went all the way up to my breast and was snug enough to stay put. My only problem was that the leg portion of the panty area cut into my groin (crease of my upper thigh) severely...which made the garment uncomfortable. I had to pull it out of my backside because it gave me a wedgie after wearing it for a short while. I wish it came in knee length instead of the panty style because I really love the product. I just can't stand the cutting into my groin area like that. I will keep the product and try it again later. But in the meantime I will search for a knee length waist trainer girdle. This product my be better suited for smaller ladies, I am bottom heavy and thick thighs...

Good quality
I loved this griddle. It is very firm, soft and useful. The only fact is that it might not be easy wear is post-partum.
