Would’ve been perfect if my 8yr old couldn’t pick them with a set it tweezers. Now he fearlessly can use his window to go out on the roof again. Insane!!!!!When he didn’t have the tweezers handy, it pulled it off with a pair of cuticle sizors. Wish they were harder to pick, at least to the point that an 8 yr old could figure it out in less than 15 minutes then practice it twice and be able to get them open in less than 5. They barely seem to slow him down. I have them 4 stars cause my son is like a ferret and wont stop till he figures out how to get what he wants.

Well made but key doesn't work on the lock so defeated the purpose of product.

only problem was the installation was alittle harder than expected bc it was alittle bigger than the previous standard locks that were on the window. other than that no issues!

We have windows you can slide up, normal windows, but these are way too thick and wide to fit on them. These may work for wooden windows or really thick windows in a commercial building, but on a house?

Good quality for the price, and would likely work for older style windows. My new home windows use a low profile latch which is also available from Prime-Line. It would help if Prime-line provided full dimensions for use. In the end, I found out that I didn't need key locks to meet pool code in AZ, and was able to use a hex clamp lock to prevent windows from opening.

I bought these to go on a couple of ground-level windows thinking that they would fit the double-hung windows I have. The receiver plate of the latch is too thick to fit on the upper window and can't be installed. I also can't use the lock with the existing receiver plate because the existing one is too short for the lock to catch. Good thing these weren't that expensive (only around $5) not worth the headache of returning.
