These work, but only for single use. We use them every weekend for our market and by the 3rd day they broke. The table is not that thick, I specifically ordered these ones because they work for the thickness I needed. If you're having a BBQ for just the day then these would work nicely for you.

I bought these to use on my 2” thick tables to hold up grass skirting for our Hawaiian themed party. These are narrow enough to not be too obvious and I can clip right over the edge of the skirting to hold it up securely!
