This is a cute little lamp, but the color is GUNMETAL GREY — NOT Black.

Poor Quality Control
This could be a beautiful, modern lamp, but the quality control is lacking. This lamp arrived with the shade so poorly made that it is impossible to use. It didn't matter to me because I was not intending to use the shade; I made a stained glass panel shade for which this lamp base was perfect. The original shade has and unusual fitting and does not use the usual harp and finial, so I had to replace all the parts that make up the socket assembly. I did not return the lamp for replacement because the lamp base was usable, but anyone who intends to use it as shown should be prepared to return a damaged product.

This product came damaged right out of the box. The lampshade is very paperthin and not well put together at all. It was completely smashed and bent in. I had to pull it straight and stretch the wire pieces to get it to pop back into place. I decided to keep it or not return it because I'm just going to purchase a new lampshade a better quality. The bottom portion of the lamp I really like. It is a bit smaller than I thought it would be but it fits well with the room.

Pretty and shinny with a dent
Nice /and shinny /and. Very pretty. The shade sets it off. why 2 star drop had a dent in main base / /if u turn it in a different view /with light it's noticeable /but for shipping and look it gets 3 stars for that

Excited then...disappointed
Looks like it would have been a very elegant lamp except for the gorilla who packed the lamp shade. The top of the rim was completely bent/destroyed. Strange thing is that the shade was packed in the middle of the box. The package delivered with no damage anywhere, so it must have been packed in that destroyed condition. Guess I'm now searching for a lamp shade.

Simple, elegant, minimal...good quality.
Very minimal, stylish, solid. Fits with my room's overall color scheme and style. Practically no assembly required, though I wish the shade could be secured a little more firmly. Worth the price.
