Easy to adjust
When I first took the belt out of the package I was ready to return it, but after I read the instructions on how to cut the belt to size it was easy. Bought this for my teenage daughter's halloween costume and was able to size it to fit her small frame. Cute belt that is well made.

Great belt
The process of self fitting is really straightforward allowing you to fit the belt to your specific size.

Love it so far....
Long term durability remains to be seen, but the design is pretty cool and it feel sturdy. Belt and buckle ship in 2 pieces. You trim the tail end of the belt to you size (generally belts are +4 sizes to pants - a 32" waist uses a 36" belt) and lock it into the buckle. The buckle itself work kinda like a tie wrap or zip tie, it click as it snugs up. Lift on the inlet side (like an airline buckle) and it releases. This particular design is working great as I am dropping quite a bit of weight and it is nice to be able to pull the tail end out, trim another inch off, then lock it back in. I'll try and report back as to long term, assuming Amazon will allow an update.***UPDATE*** After about a week of wearing it, I have to add on odd complaint, and dock 1 star. The belt stinks - as in it smells. At first I thought it was whatever chemical the 9yr old used to "clean" the bathroom sink, until I noticed it at work as well. It's like it is activated by body heat - you can't smell anything until you open the belt. Stank was confirmed by direct nose contact. Feel free to *insert body/junk odor joke here*, but that is not the case. It is an odd mildew-y chemical-like smell. A wipe down with a Clorox wipe, and a spray of Febreez and all seem to be well. I am still happy with the belt, and thus far would indeed purchase again. BUT…. It seems to me some process in manufacturing is causing said stank, and they should be defunkified before packaging. Who knows what – silicone spray from die cut machines, mold release agent from the ratchet teeth, paint on the buckle, IDK. But it should be removed prior to packaging IMHO and should not be the responsibility of the consumer.

Best of the bunch
Initial Review August 18, 2021I've had 5 or 6 of these types of ratchet belts over the past couple of years. Once I tried one I didn't look back. I tossed all of my old belts in the trash. These buckles are very easy to use including the ability to loosen or tighten in 1/4 inch increments. they look nice, wear well, and don't show the holes from the old style buckles. Once size fits all is great too.Nothing is perfect and I have had a couple of issues with these buckles along the way.1) With older ratchet belts the prongs that grabbed onto the bitter end of the belt were not long enough or side enough to get a good grip and eventually tore out. This HiMi model corrected that issue. The prongs are longer and there are more of them.2) The basic ratchet design changes from one manufacturer to another. Some have metal parts that stick out. I almost always wear Hawaiian shirts so there is no cloth between the buckle and my tummy. I'm overweight so the buckle digs into my tummy. The design of this HiMi model is the best I've had in that the metal along the sides are smooth with nothing protruding to be uncomfortable.Pros:- Easy to adjust the size of the belt.- Easy to attach the belt to the buckle (normally only needs to be done once)- Easy to latch the working end of the belt into the buckle.- Easy to lift the buckle releasing the belt.- Easy to adjust tighter or looser in 1/4 inch increments.- Priced rightCons:- I can't think of anyI high recommend this belt/buckle.

good product
After cutting belt to correct length, when putting belt into the clamp on the back of the buckle, it is difficult to get it to clamp down without using a tool to help you do it. But after you have it clamped in place, the belt and buckle is a wonderful product, that slides and ratchets in and out of buckle with ease.

Good belt.
I have had two of these. The first lasted about five years before splitting. There used to be a lot more options for buckles, but I love the ratchet belt because you can easily adjust it daily or even during the day lol

Great Product for a Great Price!
If I had known these existed before now, all of my belts would have been like these! I had to buy several regular prong and hole belts trying to find a size that would accommodate my waist size, because 34" are way too big and there were no 32" to be found. Besides, 32" is really too small. With the ratchet type system, the belt can be adjusted to every 1/8 of an inch or less! So, as I lose or gain small amounts of weight, the belt can accommodate my waist size. Plus, if I need to cinch it a bit tighter because I am carrying heavier objects in my pants pockets, I can do that very easily without having to undo the belt buckle. The same is true with loosening it a bit, too, like after eating a large meal. It's also way easier to put on and take off than a traditional belt.

Poor buckle design
Belt is of good quality, and looks nice. The entire face of the buckle is the latch, and releases slightly as you move around, so you have to tighten it several times a day. My last belt had a small lever on the bottom of the buckle to release it, and never had a problem.
