Will never return to a TV!
If your like me and are gaming on a large 4k TV you may wonder how a monitor of this size compares. I did alot of research between my 55" lg 4k tv and this before i decided to purchase, there wasn't outstanding differences the main one obviously being the response time but the listing for mine was an average of 6.5 or 8ms which i dont think was actually right because this monitor is far superior in response time. That difference alone is immense, i found myself diying alot less in BO4 and just feeling like everything was happening more instantly. The response time alone IS reason enough to go for this monitor over a tv but there are other reason why also. The resolution is native which helps alot in games and programs with scaling and such and it is also backlit LED which coming from an edgelit LED is a huge difference. Everything is clear and colors are well represented and generally is a better picture, add HDR10 and this monitor is definitely what i recommend to people who like myself prefer a larger screen to game on but want to competitively too. Overall it blows my TV out of the water for picture and it was a top range TV when i bought it and is incomparably better for gaming. Only drawback was i used my tv for netflix and amazon streaming with smart apps and this is just a monitor but i have fixed that problem with a 4k firestick.

Excellent value for money
I didn't experience light bleed like some users nor do I find the feet flimsy. If I was to make a criticism it would be the connectivity . The display port is only dp1 and there is only one HDMI 2 but the biggest issue is the lack of USB connectivity but when you consider everything else the value for money of such a large screen I dont worry about that. The colour and brightness is nothing to write home about but nor is it bad. I bought this as a compromise between gaming and productivity software and for that it is ideal, dont buy this if you are photo or video editing or hardcore gaming unless like me you are making a compromise, I have a 32 inch benq which eats this alive on picture quality but it cost £600 on its own. One word of warning, this takes up a lot of real estate on your desk in width. In depth it is excellent enabling me to push it to the very back of my desk. The other thing to watch for is the viewing angle, with such a big screen and not being able to tilt unless you vesa mount the far corners can be difficult to view if there is any light behind like a window. I would add that as a result I think this is the limit in size for a desk monitor

Super sharp Resolution with a litte problem by black Background
simply an extremely super sharp resolution, a real dream, every high-resolution image has a super intense sharpness, the image reproduction and image structure speed is awesome! A BluRay movie with this screen is pure cinema feeling. Switching between multiple computers works extremely quickly. The purchase is and was a very good investment for my eyes.Note: after 2 weeks in operation, from one moment to the next, white spots are exchanged in three corners of the screen with a dark background, and these do not go away, so I had to apply for the screen to be replaced. I very much hope that the exchange device works properly.Resume: After a total of 3 different 49.5inches where two of them developed white spots in the corners after a few hours of operation, and one of the transport damage to a delivery person fell victim, I tried the 55inch version one last time, apart from a slight transport damage , and no noticeable white spots in the 4 corners, a significant pixel error has unfortunately occurred exactly in the middle of the screen, which extends over 7 lines, so this has also gone back and the Acer issue is over here. Conclusion: not recommended!

Excellent Monitor for the price
I had this monitor for 2 months and this is excellent monitor for the price. Working from home with the covid 19 lockdown I needed a bigger monitor where I can do multitasking. The display is equivalent to 4 number 27 inch monitors on one screen. It has a displayport and hdmi connections if want leave both your home and office devices connected. Furthermore you can have two devices connected at the same time with picture in picture mode . The picture quality is superb, the colour out of the box is excellent and do not need much tweaking. The contrast ratio is excellent. It has 60hz refresh rate and 4ms screen refresh which is ideal for office environment with regards to spreadsheets and documents. 60hz is ok for playing games for the young ones.I would definitely recommend this monitor over more expensive TVs

Light bleed
2 stars for terrible back-light bleed on this monitor, top one can be seen even when displaying color. Well Acer, what I was expecting may ask myself. Picture is not as great for IPS Panel, my Philips monitor doing way better. I would not buy it again if had a chance.

Back-light bleed is annoying. Otherwise great
Colours and overall picture quality is excellent. But yes, the back light bleed during very dark moments or loading screens for games is very annoying. If you can learn to forget about it then it's decent value, depending on the price you pay.
