As soon as this arrived, I had to take it out and give it a try. It really only takes A handful of sticks to boil a kettle full of water. I over loaded it with wood. Didn't really put that much in, but the fire bowl was still burning full when the water was boiling. I could have boiled at least two kettles of water. Amazing how well this baby works. This is a must have for all Road trips and Camping trips. If the grid goes down, this is the best way to boil water to make it safe. Man I am glad I got this. Very Cool.

These are amazing for boiling water anywhere with a minimum of wood fuel. Very high-quality kettle for camp or emergency use. Recommend!

i ordered 2 of these - one as a gift, one for myself. so far, ive only tried mine once, but w exceptional results. it is very sturdy, n solid. it was able to achieve boiling water for ramen noodles, in about 5 mins., and i cooked a large tin of chili & beans at the same time (i purchased the pot holder, seperately - a definite must, in order to get full advantage of the nulti-fucntion ability of the kelly kettle). looking forward to using it much more in the summer, for camping. the stainless steel model cleaned up well, w a little elbow grease, hot water, a pot cleaning brush, & a gentle application of barkeeper's helper. the ability to use larger sticks/natural fuel from the top -- even while cooking the chili (just momentarily remove the tin from the seperately purchased pot holder) was nice. smaller wood/sticks, etc., can also be bottom feed while in use. i used mine in my fireplace, indoors, so didnt have the benefit of the wind stoking the fire thru the bottom feed; but as mentioned, it heated up quickly, & worked brilliantly. very satisfied. excellent product.

Meets all your hot water needs during camping

This is very well made and works just as advertised. I was quite surprised at how well/quickly it works. This is the kettle, and does not include the whole cooking kit.Be advised the interior gets quite sooty because of the fire, and can get all over your hands if you handle it wrong once it cools down.

Quick to heat up water with the heat traveling through the center. Have to watch the angle of the handel, not to place it or hand over the steaming liquid. Found best price here in Amazon, since other Prepper sites which want their cut of the sale. Thanks to the Kelly Guys for such a great product.

This will make my 3 days with out help much easier to cope with. I did put together a kit so we could be comfortable if the worst happened. I also will be able to camp with hot water anywhere in the Pacific NW. There is dry wood limbs and cones anywhere you look. No more packing can or bottles of fuel. I did get the big one with add on's to cook with too.

This is one -great- piece of kit. Boils water in about 5 minutes. I typically use an ounce or so of kerosene with whatever else I can find laying around. Peanut shells work great for fuel. It's made coffee for me on numerous occasions, with minimal fuel and fuss.The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's hard to pour. A simple rigid handle opposite the spout would be just awesome. A little practice with the bail and chain and pouring is easy enough, just a 2 handed affair instead of one hand.
