Used 20-25 times over the last year. Alway a gentle wipe with a damp towel to clean the probe after use not fully realizing just how poorly this thing was designed and put together. The probe, with little to no effort, just pulled away from the body at which point the probe wire(s) pulled completely out of the probe with no way of reinserting it/them. Top bad, really, 'cause up to this point I genuinly like the IRT with it's easy to read display and rechargeable battery. Will spend a little more money this next go around on something that won't disintegrate when cleaning.

I've had some bad luck with some other expensive instant read thermometers lasting in my kitchen. They seem to always fail when I needed them the most. Lately I've been using some cheaper ones and so far this one seems to be working the best. The units rechargeable battery is a great feature but I miss the magnet mounting feature of my last one. Having only one large function button is nice once I got used to using it. I checked the calibration using melting ice cubes in water and also measured the temperature of boiling water adjusted for my altitude and it was only few tenths off.

Update 9/21/19: I contacted the seller to see if they would honor their "lifetime warranty." What a joke, they won't even respond. Save your money and don't purchase this piece of junk. And don't buy from this horrible seller.Terrible product. After just 5 months of limited (5-6 times per week) the digital display can no longer be read. The thermometer charges fully but the display is only a few illegible lines now. Too late to return. Buyer beware

Used it only once and now it won't turn on. Tried charging it on a different USB but still doesn't work.

Works great

Quick/instant response time on temp. Rechargeable is a nice touch. Great battery life. Screen seems to be a bit too soft as there are scratches from being in the drawer with other items. Keep it in the bag that comes with the unit. Super large display is also nice.

Easy to use

Great quality, very accurate, and the battery really last, really a very good product.
