To be honest, I wasn't expecting much and was quite prepared to return for a refund. But I was pleasantly surprised and that's unusual in the age of Amazon sellers white labelling inferior products from China (not to say that's what this is - just saying).This particular product is a lot sturdier than I was expecting and should do the job just nicely. Including the side 'slide' tray that I was kind of expecting to slide out and flap around loosely. It looks and feels good, its weighty enough not to be flimsy but light enough not to cause an issue having it on your legs for a couple of hours. It's the perfect size for my 15" Macbook.All in all, a decent little product and not a bad price either.

A well made product which is ideal for occasions when you have no alternative other than to use your lap. The ability to use a mouse either handed is a real bonus, and it is a secure mouse support as well, which I must say I wasn't convinced would be the case until the product arrived. Just big enough for a 15.6" laptop, which it grips efficiently and keeps cool. Does what it says on the tin, highly recommended.

This Laptop 'Lapdesk' had overwhelming positive reviews so I decided to get one to go with my new laptop, a Razer Blade 15 2019 Advanced. This laptop has an Intel i7 9750 and Geforce RTX 2080 Max-Q so under heavy load it gets way too hot to use on my lap directly, although, I would normally be using it on a table when playing games on it etc.When the Gryf Portable Lapdesk arrived I was surprised at how small it is. The Razer Blade 15 is one of the smallest 15.4" laptops you can get at the moment and it fits perfectly on this Lapdesk so I suspect much larger laptops may overhang a little on it. It's small enough to easily fit into my laptop bag with the laptop and it's not particularly heavy either.The mouse pad feels fairly sturdy but it is quite a small surface area. This isn't a problem if you have your mouse set to a very high DPI, like I do, but some people may find themselves having to repeatedly lift the mouse of the mat and move it to get their mouse pointer to move all away across the screen.The grey part of the Lapdesk is a sort of silicone material that has a lot of grip so the laptop doesn't budge at all when it's on it.One thing that wasn't mentioned on any reviews is that the product arrives completely covered in some kind of residue, presumably left over from the manufacturing process? I initially returned the product thinking it might have been a faulty one but the replacement arrived with exactly the same issue. I think it's some kind of silicone grease which was easy enough to clean off with some soapy water but it's not ideal that you need to clean the product before it can be used!Overall I'm happy with the product. I can use my laptop on my lap without it getting uncomfortably hot and I can use my mouse with it too.Pros:- Small, compact and light- Fairly robust mouse pad- Non slip surfaceCons:- Product arrives covered in a residue of some kind (silicone grease?)- Mouse pad might be too small for some people

I love using this for my laptop, especially when in bed or on the sofa. My laptop never overheats (unlike before when on my lap or duvet) and its ideal having a mouse pad. The mouse pad slots in to the tray and is really sturdy. It can go either side of the laptop if you're left or right handed, but never just falls out if not flat.Great product - only design improvement would be to have fold out legs so you can prop it up off your lap, which can get heavy after long use. If the weight of your laptop doesn't bother you then this is a great product.

Handy product which would have been 5 stars but feel it's overpriced for what it is.

Pros: Sturdy, big enough for my 14" laptop with tray pulled out for mouse, doesn't need a mouse mat. Does what it's made for. Grips the laptop bottom well to stop it moving around.Cons: A little bit heavy for me and becomes uncomforatable after a while. Maybe a padded underside would help for people like me who have medical issues. Also I think it's a little expensive for what it is.

This lapdesk is just what I’ve been looking for it’s strong and sturdy and makes using my laptop feel more comfortable and easy especially with the mouse tray I only live in a apartment and haven’t got the space for big tables and desks but this is the perfect solution to my problem I like to use a mouse with my laptop as the laptop pad mouse can be annoying to use at times but when sitting on the sofa or bed it’s impossible to use one but this definitely solves that problem the mouse tray can be used left handed or right and it’s surprisingly strong and supportive I would definitely recommend this desk it’s a dream to use after months of sitting uncomfortable

I looked at a few similar products but chose this one as the mouse tray was retractable. This works really well - the tray is very sturdy when in use, and can be used either side. The unit itself is very comfortable to use and the laptop doesn’t slide around. A great purchase
