Dependable Workhorse
I've had zero issues with the Shure PGXD2/BETA58 and the PGX digital communications platform. I use this microphone in a variety of environments, and it never gives me any trouble. Setting it up is simple—I always let the base scan for interference-free channels and pick automatically. I’ve never experienced drops, cutouts, latency, or any other problems with this platform. The BETA58 microphone is as durable and reliable as the wired version, a true workhorse. This model uses disposable batteries, and I usually get about 8 hours of solid use before needing to swap them out. The microphone also has a convenient standby button with an LED light that works without causing pops or noise artifacts, providing clear feedback when the mic is muted. As a mid-priced option, this system outperforms many analog systems and is less expensive than some of the higher-end digital alternatives.I’ve used it at distances up to 100 feet with zero issues, though I haven’t tested it beyond that range. Overall, it’s a solid, professional-grade product that delivers reliable performance.

So easy and high quality
I use wired microphones normally, and use many of the Shure SM58 (an industry standard). When I selected this wireless microhone, I hoped it would sound as good as the wired ones I have. It did! I can really tell on the recordings. But the best thing was what happened "out of the box:." I plugged in the receiver, put a battery in the microphone and it worked instantly - no searching for frequencies, and no fuss with set up.So far it has worked great, and has worked well for speaking conferences. So far as long as you remember the "line of site" rule, there are very, very few dropouts (dead spots). I would highly recommend this product.

Great wireless mic
Great mic. Shure qualityRange is about 100’ line of sight.Digital quality and clarity. Mics are supper clear. Used for speaking engagementsJust FYIIf you have multiple units, the mics sync to other receivers if you turn them all on at once. Would recommend you power one recover and one mic on at a timeUses AA batteries, so get a few and avoid the cheap knock off batteries

Fantastic audio quality, reliable, easy to use, never any charging issues
The Shure PGX-D24 system has fantastic audio quality and is easy to use. I use the lavalier mic because it is convenient but the handheld works well too. Best of all, this system uses AA batteries in its transmitter so you never have to worry about whether it's charged or not - just replace the battery when the light is red.

Great Sound
The sound is crisp, and once I figured out how to adjust the gain, (found inside of the mic) it operates well even when close to the speakers. I don't like the push button on/off/mute switch. I have had a shure with this type of button before, and it lasted less than a year before it failed. My old Shure, (purchased 15 years ago, which has taken the abuse of a karaoke bar, and still works, but recently started to buzz) had a slider switch, and was, overall, better quality. I can't say how durable this mic is, as I've only used it two nights, but I'll update later.

Wow...just wow. Thank you Shure!!
I've been singing for over 35 years and by far this is the best cordless mic I've every used for the price. Be sure to read about the different mics that Shure offers before choosing and if the mic uses phantom power. This one was absolutely prefect for my stage performance goals for a hard rock band and without the need for phantom power.Thank you Shure!

Great Mike for the Money
I've had this mike for a couple of months, and have used it extensively for both practices and gigs. I really did not want to go wireless, as I've had reliability and clarity issues with wireless systems in the past. But my penchant for spinning around in circles and subsequently knotting up/destroying mike cords forced my hand. Could not be happier with this mike. Setup was incredibly simple--pulled it out of the original packaging at a gig, and the soundman had this mike ready to roll in a minute or two..simple press of a button for it to lock onto the receiver. I've been a fan of the SM58 mike for a long time, and this mike seems to provide even more clarity than a normal 58, which I know doesn't make any sense...maybe it's the digital format. If you are debating on the analog version of this mike that's a bit less money..all I can say is go digital! Clarity and overall sound duplication is great. No issues with blowing Ps or other hard consonents. Button to turn the mike off/mute is nicely placed and impossible to click off accidentally. Mike clip isn't the usual brittle plastic I've dealt with in the past. The case that holds the mike & components is sturdy and road-worthy. I have spent far more money on wireless mikes that offered far less quality. I'd highly recommend this system.

Did not work out of the box.
Bought this item with high expectations. Item powered on as should, synced up as should, would not produce sound. Tried a different cable for the receiver, still did not work. Discovered that the circuit board was loose under the mic cover, returned for refund. Couple of notes: 1. It is annoying that you have to take the bottom cover off of the mic to sync it with the receiver. 2. It is annoying that you have to take the top cover off to change the gain if you would need you. Not that I needed to, since it never worked in the first place. Maybe I just got a bad one, but everyone told me that Shure was a "sure" thing...
