Worth it,
I enjoyed this more than I expected, though it might matter that I’m new to reading anything on this subject.

Dark paper/light type makes for tough reading
I am giving this three stars because it SEEMS to be another excellent book from Brian Haggard. But the choice of a dark beige paper makes the type seem light, and so the book is very difficult to read. I would recommend his earlier books as outstanding guides to "memories" crazy quilting, which is an excellent blend of vintage fabric, harmonious stitches, and personal items/photos as embellishment.

Interesting book
So far, I have only gotten to read a Kindle sample of this book and I learned many things just in what I was able to read and see. I have plenty of embroidery stitch books. I have plenty of embroidery project books. What I would really like at this point in my life is inspiration and in the approximately half hour it took me to read and study the photos, I got inspired. His Lace Maker project, was much like something I have been thinking about doing, so seeing it was a help for me to think it through so I could do my own project.I realize that I did not have the actual book in hand to see it, but reading a review, someone stated that the book wasn't much bigger than a magazine and that they were disappointed in the size. According to the publishers information, the book is 259 pages long. So prior to buying a hard copy of it, I will want to see how big the book really is. Perhaps the 259 pages is a misprint which happens.Looking forward to seeing his other books as well.

Lovely photos but “no meat” in story line
Liked basic concept of book, but it was a rehash of his other books

Toxic paper
The book made me sick. The cat even ran from the room. I don't know what chemical was on the paper, but after 3 attempts to read the book, it went in the trash. I wrote the seller and received no response.

Not completely happy
It was not what I was expecting I was hoping there more embroidery involved, albeit there are ideas that might be of use.

Fabulously Interesting book.
I loved everything about it. All the beautiful projects, the stories behind them, the methods used. So so very inspiring. I just wanted to immediately start a project myself.

More like a magazine
Not what I was expecting. It's a thin book just like a magazine. I quite liked the preview but didn't realise that was a third of the entire book! Like others have said, the book is a funny mix. It has some projects but they have scant instructions, and several pieces of work are showcased without any information about how they were made. I like the felt flowers which are clearly explained. I also liked looking at the embroidery patchwork images which gave me a few ideas. However overall I'm disappointed with it's confusing mix of how to and story articles. Just like a magazine, I probably won't keep it long
