Works for what I needed it for- a footstool
I wanted something small and lightweight that I could use as a foot stool along with my camping chair. This works well. I cannot see this being stable as an actual seat for an adult. Or comfortable. If you buy for that purpose you will probably be disappointed

Best Backpacking camp stool (for those whose luxury item is a chair)
Thanks to Shug for steering me towards this. I'm a hammocking backpacker and was looking to shave weight from my pack. My one luxury item I allow myself is a camp chair, which used to be the REI Flex Lite. I love that chair, but it's too much hassle to use and weighs a good bit more than the Stansport campstool.I just attach this stool with my pack top strap. Any time we stop to get water or other break, I just set this on the ground and it's ready to use. When I'm done I pick it up and put it back on my pack. 5 seconds tops.I tried the trip pods, as there is a 12 oz out there, but I could never sit comfortably on it, plus it was a little lower to the ground. Also I'm 6'4" and 250 pounds and it has no problems with my weight.Only negative I can think of is the feat tend to sink in the ground a tad. But no more so than other 4 legged chairs. I found a couple pieces of bark solve that issue. The Stansport camp stool IMHO is THE best balance of strength, weight, and comfort you can get for a back packers camp chair.

Lightweight but almost cheezy
OK. That's about all I can say. Skinny legs, unbraced. Pretty cheezy. Its useable but don't get too rambunctious. It is lightweight.

Light and portable
I bought this to carry when I play disc golf. Sometimes I sit on it and sometimes I set my disc bag on it. That saves my back as I don’t have to bend over a million times during a round and keeps my bag out of the dirt or mud. It is very light and simple to use. My only wish is that it have a slightly heavier max weight limit but that is not a fault as there is a trade off between the stool’s weight vs. weight limit (and price). There are three legged tripod stools sold as disc golf accessories and while they have a higher weight limit, they are a little more fussy to open and close and are more finicky about getting my disc bag to be stable on them.I also camp and this will be useful as a camp stool or foot rest.

Uh, no! Maybe I am not a camper
This was the only camp stool that seemed to have positive reviews. A little more expensive than others on Amazon. I wanted one to sit on; I guess other reviewers were backpacking and more concerned with weight. It is light and seems flimsy but had a bigger sitting area than other stools. I am nowhere near 200 pounds of other reviews, but my sitting area was numb in about five minutes. So better than ground yes; something I could sit on for more than five minutes, no.

Go-to backpacking stool
First, to the people who had one break:1. I realize 200lb is a pretty low rating, but that's the reality for what it is. A lightweight backpacking stool. It weighs about half of the heavier Coleman steel stools.2. I see a lot of people sitting on these incorrectly. Your thighs go OVER one of the bars, not cradled between one of the loose sides of fabric. So you should have the legs making an "X" on each side of you.3. Check the ground. If one side of legs sits well and the other side sinks 3", do go putting 175lbs on that. It's not going to last. And if you're moving around a lot it's going to stress the legs and eventually break.I have some smaller stools, but this one is always the best choice. It literally takes up no space since it straddles the backpack. The height is comfortable and the leg caps are lightweight opposed to some of the stools with heavy thick rubber caps.

Love the weight
Love the weight, hate the rattle. I had to put some tape over the hinge pins, as they have lose washers that rattle like crazy. I will probably end up replacing the pins/rivets it with a bolts and some nylon washers.

Perfect Perch!
So, I ordered this to use outside my mother's window at her lodge during the Covid lockdown. It's perfect, weighs nothing, lives in the backseat of my car so when I drop over for a visit, it's handy to sit on at her window. I was using a low footstool and could barely stand up after a 20 minute visit. This is just the right height, easy to sit and stand, fold and go, inexpensive - who could ask for anything more! Highly recommend.

NO COMPLETO

NOT VERY STURDY AND NOT VERY COMFORTABLE
This camp stool is not very sturdy, is not very comfortable either and is not high enough. Would not reorder or recommend to a friend.

Does not support weight advertised.
The item claims to support 200 pounds. I weigh 170 and sat on it gently before my camping trip to test it. After a few minutes sitting it buckled under my weight and is now bent out of shape.
