I like how the material is broken down.

The practice guide was a great tool for preparing for the GACE Special Education test to be taken. I felt much more prepared and I passed it!! The book has a ton of errors, grammatical, spelling, and things are just missing. It is also out of order and repeats itself a lot. This is not the first book from company that has been like this either. I guess this whole company should just be shut down because they are a poor excuse for a publishing company with that many errors. HOWEVER, it is helpful in reviewing the material for the test. You just have to get over all the errors and be able to understand what they are talking about. Overall, is it going to help me pass the GACE? Yes! But also real life experiences and previous teacher course also play into the passing of the test. So don't just use this book to study, use other things and even your common sense as a teacher to take the test.

This book was a great study guide. I already knew most of the information...the book explained the topics I didn't understand fully. I passed both parts on the first try.

I read through the entire book in a span of about 2 weeks, and that was enough for me to pass. Don't expect this book to be a blue print for the questions on the test, but if you go into it without prior knowledge of Special Education, then it will certainly help you with a general understanding, which is what you need to pass the tests. I was comfortably above the passing scaled score, but constructed response questions were lowest scores for me. Let me know if you want to buy a used one from me (I made a point not to write in the book, so it is in good shape).

I can't give an accurate review because I have not completely gone thorugh the book or taken the test. So far I really like it. The pre-test alone is full of lots of information and the questions are structured like other GACE exams I have taken. I have not noticed the grammatical errors that others seemed so hung up on.
