Slept through 4 alarms that not only ring but also speak the time and weather.... And since I haven't had a solid night's sleep in years, I'm still giving it 4 stars.Yes, just as some reviews have claimed, it's hot. A fan at the foot of the bed and losing the blankets took care of that.Yes, it's SOOO SQUISHY that it's hard to turn over without waking up enough to put the effort into it. However.... turning over on a twin requires care anyway so you don't roll right off, so there's that. However, given the choice, I'd rather wake up because of needing to bend my stiff joints a different way than to wake up from pain in my hips/knees/shoulders/back because of the mattress.It's SOFT - it's a foam mattress, it's SUPPOSED to be.If the over squishiness becomes too much of an issue, I can always try removing the mattress entirely and putting the foam on the box spring base. That would STILL be an improvement over the lumpy, spring poking mattress.Overall, I'm pleased.It's not magic. It didn't provide sleep perfection. It's a piece of foam.... it helped and that was all I'd ask.

So this was an impulse 2 am purchase. I have a 14 year old Bull Dog that cannot regulate his temperature. He wakes up in the middle of the night panting heavily. It sounds like a helicopter. He used to have to get off the bed and lie on the hardwood floor to cool off. Since he is arthritic he would then proceed to bark to get back on the bed. I couldn't take it and bought the first thing on sight that said it kept you cool. I received it yesterday. He still woke up in the middle of the night panting; however, my husband just had to push him to a new spot on the bed and he immediately cooled off and fell back to sleep. i also woke up without feeling hot and sweaty. Which can happen a lot when one has two dogs sleeping on either side. I bought the 3 inch cool swirl gel. I gave it only four stars because it doesn't cool. It only helps alleviate body heat. I also previously bought a cooling pillow. I personally don't like it. It actually really cools. I'm a side sleeper and would wake up with my ear feeling like a frozen nugget. So there is better cooling technology out there. That being said this works for the price.

It has been about two weeks, and I happy with the purchase. My old topper (a different brand) lasted several years but had formed divots from us sleeping in the same spots plus we were starting to feel some back pain in the mornings—that is when you know you need a new topper! This was a good choice. It is not cool to the touch so if that is what you need then look for another one. But is also doesn't seem to get warm neither so in that regard I'm happy with it. It seems soft enough. I would not call it hard nor would I call it soft. Medium softness is probably a correct description. It gives us enough support so that the morning back pains are gone. But if you are looking for pillow softness that you sink into then this one is probably not for you.After unpacking it and placing it on the mattress it didn't take long for it to expand to three inches, less than an hour maybe. Tip: if you leave the packing cloth in place it is easier to slide the topper on the bed then just pull the cloth out from underneath.Based on my experience so far, I recommend the 3-Inch Cool Swirl Gel topper. It is also priced right. Another thing to consider it that both sides are the same so you can flip this topper every so often to extend its life.Note: While reading these reviews notice that there are several different toppers for this same listing. It would be better it they were separate listings for each but since they are not make sure to note the style name.

I have had issues with bed comfort for years now. I have a bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I have had over 250 broken bones and fractures in my 36 years since birth and have been living with a non-union broken femur since July of 2017. Needless to say I have allot of residual pain.My wife and I have had a memory foam bed, that we purchased on Amazon, since the beginning of 2015. It is a wonderful bed with one caveat. It is very firm. At 4 pounds density (according to the Amazon description), it can really cause pressure points if you're not able to roll over during the night.I have been sleeping on old egg crates folded up on top of the bed for the last four years. It wasn't much of an issue before, but with my femur break, I am now unable to roll over during the night. I have to lay on my back from the time I go to bed until I get up in the morning. It is usually a painful night, fraught with sleeplessness and agony. I couldn't wait to get out of bed in the morning.I decided that I really needed to figure something else out. I began looking into toppers and I researched density vs thickness. Based on descriptions from other sites, I'm going to assume that this topper has a density of about 2.5 pounds. At 3 inches thick it is perfect. Not too thin and just the right density. I woke up this morning without a hint of pain. Which for me is a miracle.Highly recommended!

I have had and still have alot of Mattress Toppers.. They are on every bed I have.. and I have a large family so alot of beds..lol.. This is the first mattress topper I have gotten that is too firm for me. I have to buy another. When I went to the description it indeed says Medium firm.. IT IS medium firm. I missed it, totally my fault.. Another review says its not for firm users.. I disagree.. Even those who sit on my bed comment how firm it is. It will support your back and especially your hips.. But if you like a soft bed, this is not for you. Several Commented on the smell.. It air's out very quickly.. within an hour I would say.. It also deflates quickly.. It dont take but an hour to reach its full form. It does pop up when you get up, but not like my other mattress toppers.. Not sure if its real memory foam or not.. But if you like a medium firm bed, this a topper for you..
