1001 Things to Spot at Christmas

"1001 Things to Spot At Christmas" is a wonderful activity book for older children. The hardcover book measures 9 1/2 inches by 10 3/4 inches and has 32 pages of intricate colored Christmas images. On each page the reader is asked to find several items in the intricate Christmas illustrations. The reader is not only asked to find one of something but any where from one to ten of the same item in the picture. Because the colored Christmas illustrations are so intricate and some of the items are really small, this book would be most appropriate for older children (Grade 3 or above). My only concern about this book is that there should have been some acetate clear leaves covering the Christmas pictures so that the reader could circle the items with a wipe off marker. Without the clear plastic leaves to circle the items, many children will circle the items right on the actual page and thus destroy the book for any future use. That is OK if you don't ever want to use this book again but if you had any thoughts of reusing the book and the readers yield to their temptation of circling items right in the book, you will have to pay another $14 to get a new copy. I recommend this book for older children. Older children and adults would find these activities both enjoyable and challenging. This book can provide hours of entertainment as the reader tries to find all 1001 hidden images on the pages of this book.

Kids have looked at this but putting it away until Christmas. Very happy with this book

My kids love this book. We used it as a book in our Christmas Advent Book Calendar and the kids wanted to read and play with it for weeks after it was opened. It is easier than most kids books so the smaller kids could enjoy it also.

Great book but for older children images are small so little ones have a hard time finding objects. I think 5-6 year ols would be the youngest age I would recommend

The drawings are delightful, we always have so much fun with these books. It’s a great way to reinforce counting too.

bought this for grandchildren,its a fun book, pages are full of drawings but not impossible to find what your looking for such as 20 tree ornaments, twelve green scarfs etc , 4 & 5 yr olds didn't get bored cause they can find the items on their own. the book has very colorful illustrations and even saw the parents playing with it also.

We love these books in our house, can keep toddler's/ preschoolers amused for as long as their attention span allows.

This is just as wonderful as the 1001 things to spot in fairyland. It is great for counting and having a fun time with finding objects. What a wonderful book for the holidays!

Lovely book with different themes on each page. Items to find are different but the style of images is the same throughout (a good thing if you like it), however I would have preferred more cartoon style images.Overall the book keeps my 9mth old entertained looking at the pictures and talking through it, and no doubt as she grows older it will occupy her as she tried to find all the items. I think this is a good book for all child ages and would not discourage people to get it. Good for teaching them to count and persist in spotting the items.

My kids love these books. Great fun!

Great book, highly recommend for a kids Christmas, my son is now 7yrs and he still goes through it. There are many other things to spot and will be getting more for him.

Book lovely but poor package it was not even sealed and the book was hanging out! Luckily it was not damaged
